BS SHOW BIZ BUZZ:
★ Producer Ryan Murphy (“American Horror Story”, “Glee”) is developing a new TV series called “One Hit Wonders”. The idea originated  in 2012 during a dinner with Cameron Diaz, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Reese Witherspoon. The original concept was for a movie in which the 3 actresses would play one-time pop stars who form a supergroup after their chart careers nosedive. Murphy says he already has 4 seasons mapped out and is planning to take the idea to cable networks. It’s unclear if any of the actresses would be involved in the TV project.

★ Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine is developing a TV series based on the wedding-crasher theme in his music video for the hit song “Sugar”. The band gate-crashed various weddings throughout Los Angeles last December, secretly setting up their instruments for an impromptu performance that was recorded. Now Levine is teaming with “Wedding Crashers” movie director David Dobkin to create a pilot for an NBC-TV show using the same stunt.

★ Tyra Banks has announced the end of “America’s Next Top Model”. After 22 seasons spanning 12 years, the CW-TV catwalk reality show will be coming to an end when the current season wraps in December. 41-year-old model Banks co-created the series and has hosted it ever since it debuted in May 2003 on UPN. During the show’s extensive run, Banks has launched other TV projects, such as her own self-syndicated talk show “The Tyra Banks Show” (2005-10) and just last month she debuted the similarly-styled syndicated “FABLife”.

★ And Kim Kardashian West has cancelled her baby shower in order to support her sister Khloe Kardashian. The reality TV star’s former brother-in-law Lamar Odom was rushed to hospital after being found unconscious at the Love Ranch brothel in Nevada earlier this week and the Kardashian clan, including Odom’s ex Khloe, have rushed to his bedside, where he remains in a critical condition. Kim, who is pregnant with her 2nd child, had scheduled a ‘Troop Beverly Hills’-themed shower for this weekend.

• Demi Lovato – Her 5th studio album, “Confident”, drops today. Fall Out Boy has re-recorded their song “Irresistible” with Demi on vocals, and the new version is being released as a single today.
• Ed Sheeran – Today his Gingerbread Man Records issues its 1st release, the self-titled debut album from Brit singer/songwriter Jamie Lawson.

LURID LUNCH LEGAL:
An Italian court has ruled that workers are entitled to watch porn on their lunch breaks and cannot be fired for doing so. The verdict comes after automaker Fiat attempted to sack an employee at its Palermo factory after he was caught watching X-rated material during working hours. The man claimed his porn viewing was limited to ‘catching a glimpse’ during lunch and it did not effect his work. Now Italy’s highest court has agreed, ruling that watching porn on breaks is not a sackable offense. But that doesn’t mean anything goes in Italy. In a separate case this week, Italian judges ruled that Fiat was entitled to axe an employee who smoked cannabis during his break. (So there you have it … in Italy porn’s in, weed’s out.)

NOT SO TALL IN FALL:
New research at UK’s Cambridge University has found that babies born in Summer months not only get to enjoy their birthdays in the sunshine, they tend to be taller and healthier as well. The study shows that babies born in June, July, and August are on average heavier at birth and taller as adults. Whereas babies born in December, January, and February tend to be lighter at birth and shorter as adults. Girls born in Summer also tend to begin puberty later, which is an indication of better health in later life. The scientists think it has something to do with pregnant mothers being exposed to more sunshine, thereby giving their unborn babies a boost of vitamin D. (In conclusion, for a tall and healthy June baby … try getting frisky in September.)
