Can You Believe This Sheet?

BS SHOW BIZ BUZZ:
★ Paris Jackson has revealed that she is bisexual. While answering fans’ queries on Instagram, the daughter of Michael Jackson wrote that she is bisexual, although she does not care for the label. It had been rumored the 20-year-old model/actress may have been exploring her options when she appeared to be in a romantic fling with model Cara Delevingne.

★ The WWE showed that it still has a few tricks up its sleeve on Sunday when it issued a surprise announcement on Sunday saying that Hulk Hogan has been reinstated into the WWE Hall of Fame, leading many fans to believe he could be making a return to the ring shortly. In a statement on their website, the WWE wrote, “After a three-year suspension, Hulk Hogan has been reinstated into the WWE Hall of Fame. This second chance follows Hogan’s numerous public apologies and volunteering to work with young people, where he is helping them learn from his mistake.” The wrestling legend was famously suspended by the WWE in 2015 after he was caught on tape making a racial comment.

★ Comedy Central’s roast of Bruce Willis went down on Saturday, and one of the hilarious highlights was a surprise visit from his ex-wife, Demi Moore. Moore , who was married to Willis from 1987-2000, wasn’t listed on the lineup of roasters, but brought the house down with some well-aimed jabs at her ex, including this zinger: “I look at our marriage like ‘The Sixth Sense’… You were dead the whole time.” “The Comedy Central Roast of Bruce Willis” is slated to air on Monday, July 30.
(…With a Vengeance!)

★ Melissa McCarthy says that her 11 and 8 year-old daughters will have to wait until they’re 40 to watch her latest movie, the crime-comedy “The Happytime Murders”. Despite the fact that she stars with an all-puppet cast, the film is R-rated, and McCarthy says, ”It’s definitely a grown-up movie. My kids are like, ‘We can’t wait to see this!’ And I’m like, ‘I can’t wait to show you, when you’re 40! It will be so wonderful, when you’re 110 and you can see this!’”

★ Brooklyn Beckham quit his prestigious photography course in New York because he’s ‘homesick’. Brooklyn, the eldest of David and Victoria’s four children, has deferred the course for an internship with a respected British photographer. Apparently Victoria was ‘thrilled’ at Brooklyn’s return, telling friends that she couldn’t believe how much she missed him.

★ ‘Abraham’ is returning to “The Walking Dead”. Or at least Michael Cudlitz, who played Abraham is. The actor will be working behind the camera, directing the seventh episode of the show’s upcoming ninth season. This isn’t something a former actor has ever done before, which means Cudlitz is making series history. ‘The Walking Dead’ season 9 is expected to debut in October.

BS MUSIC NOTES:
• Ariana Grande – Her fiancé Pete Davidson has hit back at critics after she wore his late father’s FDNY badge. One took exception, saying: “No girl should ever wear your dad’s chain. So disrespectful.” Davidson responded with “for ur information that’s not just some girl. That’s my fiancé. she’s the greatest person I know…My dad would be so happy and love her so much.”
• Taylor Swift – Had some trouble with one of her set pieces at her concert in Philadelphia Saturday night. While singing ‘Delicate’, she literally got stuck up in the air in a floating bubble that was supposed to bring her out into the audience. At one point, she said to the audience that “I’m pretty sure I’m stuck up here. It’s a nice view though.” (Video is online!)
• Mariah Carey – Halted a Vegas concert on Saturday and invited one of her backup dancers onstage so his beau could propose. Carey shared a video of the magical moment on Twitter, writing, “he said yes!!!”

• Sammy Hagar – His supergroup The Circle, — also featuring bassist Michael Anthony, drummer Jason Bonham and guitarist Vic Johnson — has reportedly finished their first album of original material, and it’s a concept album. Bonham says the as-yet-untitled record is meant to be played from start to finish, rather than picked apart song by song.
• Cole Swindell – has revealed the cover art and track listing for his new album, “All of It”, out Aug. 17. It features 12 songs, five of which Swindell co-wrote with some of Nashville’s top songwriters. He has been sharing pieces of the album since early this year.

THE LAST OF A DYING BREED:
Even John Oliver couldn’t save them. Blockbuster Video has closed its two remaining stores in Alaska, leaving the chain’s location in Bend, Oregon as its last location in the United States. The two Alaska locations in Anchorage and Fairbanks closed on Sunday, and will begin selling their remaining stock today. The closures come despite a campaign from HBO host John Oliver to increase business at the stores by donating a jockstrap worn by Russell Crowe in the 2005 film “Cinderella Man” as a tourist attraction. The manager of the Oregon store says that they “have no plans on closing anytime soon.” Blockbuster still runs a streaming service and vending machines in some European countries, as well as several physical locations in Australia.
(Just as well. I much prefer wasting the whole evening deciding what to watch from the comfort of my couch anyway!)
(The Oregon store might still make a go of it, but it’ll be an upstream battle…)
(The clearance sale starts today? I’m hoping to get my hands on a “Be kind and rewind” sign!)

IT’S GOOD FOR YOU…MAYBE:
Because over a third of North American adults take a multivitamin every day, you would hope that they are doing us some good. That may or may not be the case, but if you are taking one in the hope that doing so will reduce your risk for heart disease, you might as well save your money. A review of studies done around the world found no association between multivitamins and the risk for cardiovascular disease, coronary heart disease or stroke incidence or mortality.  Lead author of the review, Dr. Joonseok Kim of the University of Alabama, says that while multivitamins rarely cause harm, “They’re not completely safe either. Some ingredients can interact with other medicines and cause side effects.”
(Darn! Back to exercising and eating veggies!)
(Maybe they should come up with a Vitamin H!)
