You’re Fulla Sheet!
BS SHOW BIZ BUZZ:
★ Will Smith’s biggest fear following the Oscars incident is how it will impact his career, according to a source. An insider quoted by “Us” said that after receiving major backlash for slapping Chris Rock on the Academy Awards stage, “he feels terrible and is trying not to panic, but seeing his roles put on ice has been a hugely bitter pill to swallow.” According to the insider, “His biggest fear is that he’s in the process of being fully canceled, and there’s nothing he can really do about it except sit back, suck up his punishment like a man and try to atone however he can.” Amid the backlash, Smith’s projects at Netflix and Sony were shelved, and it was reported that his high-powered talent agency considered dropping the embattled actor.

★ On Tuesday morning, multiple outlets reported that Kourtney Kardashian had married Travis Barker in a private ceremony in Las Vegas shortly after Sunday’s Grammys. But apparently, it’s not true. The two did go to a wedding chapel to get hitched, but a source says it was just for fun, and not legally binding. And it’s been confirmed that there is no Travis and Kourtney marriage license in the Las Vegas marriage records system, although there are two Travis Barkers that have been married in Nevada — but neither of them is Kourtney’s Travis. (Gee, do you think cameras were running for the reality show?)

★ “Elvis” is going to Cannes. The French film festival has confirmed that Australian director, screenwriter and producer Baz Luhrmann will attend this year’s 75th edition in May, to present the world premiere of his latest feature, “Elvis”, along with stars Austin Butler, Tom Hanks and Olivia DeJonge. Butler plays Elvis Presley, with DeJonge as wife Priscilla Presley, and Hanks plays music manager Colonel Tom Parker. Elvis will be released in North America on June 24 and in the rest of the world beginning June 22.

★ Oscar-winning movie “Encanto” will temporarily take over the ‘It’s a Small World’ ride at several Disney theme parks following the animated film’s success. Beginning April 11, characters from Encanto – which tells the story of a family who live hidden in the magical mountains of Colombia, will take over the facade of the water-based boat ride, and pay tribute to the movie’s hit song ‘We Don’t Talk About Bruno.’, “through projection and lighting effects and an artistic style inspired by the lyrics”, according to Disney.

BS MUSIC NOTES:
• Shawn Mendes – teased a potential collaboration with his ex-Camila Cabello. He spoke with Ryan Seacrest about whether he’d be into sharing the stage with Cabello during their appearance at the iHeartRadio Wango Tango concert on June 4. His answer? “I wouldn’t be surprised. I wouldn’t put it past us. I’ve loved Camila for so many years, and that’s never going to change.”
• Selena Gomez – says she hasn’t been on the internet in 4½ years, and: “It has changed my life completely.” She’s been open about her struggles with bipolar disorder and anxiety, which she says were exacerbated by life in the spotlight. Recently, she launched the mental health resource site Wondermind, but says while she does help curate content, she doesn’t physically post material.
• Madonna — has an estimated net worth of $850 million, making her the wealthiest female musician of all time, according to Forbes. Lately, she’s been taking social media by storm, posting some very weird and wonderful TikTok videos.
• Red Hot Chili Peppers – Flea says he didn’t realize he’d lost one of his Grammys until it was found in his garden. How did it get there? In a radio interview, he told how his daughter Clara Balzary, now 33, snuck the golden gramophone out of the house, and used it as a shovel when she was 5.
• Korn and Evansecence – have announced a summer tour together. The 18-city tour kicks off on August 16 in Denver, with stops across the U.S. in Boston, Chicago, Houston and more before wrapping up in Ridgefield WA on Sept. 16.
• Paul McCartney – To celebrate his 80th birthday in June, his childhood home in Liverpool is opening its doors to aspiring musicians. The National Trust, which owns the modest home, is giving budding musicians the chance to step inside the place where McCartney and the late John Lennon started their songwriting partnership, and write and record inside the house. • Kelsea Ballerini – Before she gets to her hosting duties with Anthony Mackie at Monday’s CMT Music Awards, she’ll be dropping the new song ‘Heartfirst’.
• CMT Music Awards — CMT has announced the new socially-voted award category “Trending Comeback Song of the Year”, to honor iconic stars and their hits that not only stood the test of time but also found new popularity. This year’s nominees include Alan Jackson, Brooks & Dunn, Dolly Parton, Shania Twain, Taylor Swift and more. Voting runs through Sat. on CMT’s Instagram story.
• Garth Brooks – has shared plans to open a 3-story, 40,000+ square foot bar and entertainment space on a Nashville Lower Broadway property that he bought in Dec. Although hasn’t revealed the name of his planned venue, he has floated the idea of a “Friends in Low Places” bar in the past.
SHOOTING THE BULL
MY PEEPS:
How would you like to be able to design your own marshmallow chicks for Easter? Peeps and Company says this year, you can. The brand recently announced “My Peeps”. The marshmallow chicks can be customized to look and taste however customers want. That includes a choice of colors — yellow, pink, or blue — chocolate dips, and toppings. Chocolate options include a dark, milk, or white chocolate dip that will sit on the bottom half of the chick, plus round confetti sprinkles, nonpareil sprinkles, crushed cookie, crushed pretzel, chocolate chips or toasted coconut topping. The personalized peeps are selling for $29.95 for 2 boxes of 6, and are available at www.peepsandcompany.com . [***See ‘BS Rejected Peeps Flavors’, below***]
(If that sounded like ‘product placement’, it was. Or it will be. I’ll be placing the product in my mouth as soon as I get my hands on it!)
(I never understood the attraction of marshmallow candy at Easter. To me, it just takes up valuable room where there could be more chocolate!)

SHORTFLIX:
(***Caution – language***) Everyone knows the unique pain that is wasting valuable hours of your life scrolling aimlessly through Netflix’s hundreds or thousands of different categories, trying to find the “perfect” thing to watch. And by the time you find something that looks interesting, both you and the person that you’re “chilling” are tired and cranky. Well, the streaming service has added an incredibly useful new category, thanks to a “Saturday Night Live” sketch. Over the weekend, the show aired a skit featuring Pete Davidson, Chris Redd, Gunna, and Simon Rex singing the praises of “Short-Ass Movies”, such as “Austin Powers”, “Bambi”, and most of the films in the “Ernest” franchise. And it looks like Netflix took the hint, because shortly after, Netflix tweeted a link to an official “Short-Ass Movies” collection made up exclusively of movies that clock in at 90 minutes or less (not including credits). CORONAUPDATE:
➢ A nasal spray that blocks COVID-19 infection and treats those who are already sick could be available within the next 6 months, say researchers at Cornell University. They discovered a small molecule that people can spray into their nose, that prevents COVID from infecting human cells. The spray would protect against infection in healthy individuals if used within 12 hours of exposure to COVID. For those who become infected, the nasal spray treatment would only require a few daily doses. (After experiencing a nose-swab, I thought we could all agree that we should be trying to move away from anything honker-related when it comes to COVID-19!)
➢ Your risk of ending up in the hospital with COVID-19 may literally be in your own hands. Researchers at Swansea University found that people with short “baby” fingers in comparison to their other digits end up suffering more severe cases of COVID-19. And those who have larger size differences between the fingers on their left and right hands are at even greater risk. Finger length is associated with testosterone and estrogen levels, which is also thought to be a factor in how severe one’s COVID infection becomes. (Thanks for the ‘tip’!)

ELON PLUS NINE:
It was a down year for billionaires. There are 87 fewer of them, according to Forbes’ annual World’s Billionaires List, and they’re worth $400 billion less than a year ago. Rihanna’s stakes in the beauty and lingerie businesses helped her become Barbados’ first billionaire ($1.7 Billion), and “Lord of the Rings” director Peter Jackson ($1.5 billion) also joined the list for 2022. Here are the 10 richest people in the world . . .
1. Elon Musk (Tesla, Space X): $219 billion
2. Jeff Bezos (Amazon): $171B
3. Bernard Arnault & family (LMVH fashion): $158B
4. Bill Gates (Microsoft): $129B
5. Warren Buffett (Berkshire Hathaway investments): $118B
6. Larry Page (Google): $111B
7. Sergey Brin (Google): $107B
8. Larry Ellison (software): $106B
9. Steve Ballmer (Microsoft): $91.4B
10. Mukesh Ambani (diversified): $90.7B
(FYI, Zuckerberg is down to #15 [#3 last year], with a net worth of $67.3 billion. Tough times!)
(Of course, this doesn’t include Vlad Putin and his friends, who have hundreds of billions stashed away . . . under someone else’s name!)

DID YOU KNOW?
It turns out there’s a reason your toothbrush bristles are different colors, and no, it’s not to make it pretty. TikToker Jess (username jmac8781) took to the social media site to share the meaning behind the dark patch of bristles on your brush, and it’s safe to say she blew some minds in the process. As she explained: “The smallest of the colors, usually near the top, is to show you how much toothpaste you actually should be using.” Her thought does make sense, as the recommended amount of toothpaste for an adult is a pea-sized dollop. In the vid, Jess goes on to explain: “You’re actually not supposed to put the toothpaste all along the brush.” LINK: https://tinyurl.com/mvy5re3w
