BS SHOW BIZ BUZZ:
★ Kris Jenner stopped by James Corden’s The Late Late Show to participate in the ever-popular “Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts” segment, where celebrities have to answer a question or eat something absolutely disgusting. The participant gets to ask James questions too, and Kris wanted to know why he’s never done “Carpool Karaoke” with Kanye West. Corden replied that they have tried to get ’Ye, saying, “He canceled twice! Maybe even three times. Apparently, as an apology gift, West sent Corden some flowers and a pair of Yeezy sneakers.

★ Ruby Rose is making TV history. She has been cast to play Batwoman in an upcoming series. That will make her the first lesbian superhero in a lead role. Rose confirmed the news on Instagram, saying, “The Bat is out of the bag and I am beyond thrilled and honored…I’m also an emotional wreck.. because this is a childhood dream.” Batwoman is scheduled to appear on “Arrow” in December, and the Rose-led series will launch in 2019.

★ Chris Pratt’s new film “Cowboy Ninja Viking” has been pulled from its scheduled release date. The movie, which is an adaptation of A.J. Lieberman and Riley Rossmo’s graphic novel, was expected to debut on June 28, 2019, with cast and crew scheduled to begin shooting in London next month. The project has suffered from script issues, while rumors of a shutdown have circulated since March. Though a new release date has not been announced, the studio indicates that Cowboy Ninja Viking remains in active development and will be rescheduled “to accommodate production scheduling.”

• Plain White T’s – are turning their hit song ‘Hey There Delilah’ into TV series. The song tells of a flirtatious long-distance relationship between an aspiring singer/songwriter and a college student in New York, and now the lyrics have been used as the basis for a romantic comedy.
• Aerosmith – Their first-ever tour van was featured on a recent episode of “American Pickers” after being discovered by hosts Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz. The 1964 International Harvester Metro, with the band name painted on its side, had spent decades rusting in a woodland near Chesterfield, Mass. “American Pickers” bought the van for $25,000.
• Weezer – Thirty-five years after Toto’s ‘Africa’ ruled the Billboard Hot 100, the song is back atop a Billboard chart, thanks to Weezer’s remake. Weezer’s cover sits atop Billboard’s Alternative Songs chart.

After spending a few minutes talking about her tour and album, she said: “Mike and Isaiah and I are absolutely over the moon and excited to be adding another little fish to our pond.”
• Little Big Town – The man accused of stealing their trailer was arrested after a multi-county police chase in Tennessee. The trailer was stolen last week but was quickly recovered. At the time, the group posted a message on Facebook, mocking the thief who got nothing of value because, as they put it, the trailer was filled with “two old kid bikes, one scooter, a baby pool and a unicorn float. Karma’s a funny thing.”

GILLIGAN WAS ON TO SOMETHING:
If you’ve never quite found the perfect bed, or maybe even you haven’t found the perfect sleeping position, you might want to go have a look in the backyard. A growing body of research that says the simple, ancient hammock may be the most ingenious bed humans have ever created.
Modern science shows that the hammock can be credited with putting you to sleep faster, and keeps you in a deep sleep longer. Hammocks also provide what some researchers call the ideal sleeping position, with the head elevated 10-30%. Hammocks are also recommended by many chiropractors, orthopaedic surgeons and other doctors to alleviate back pain. And if that weren’t enough, swaying in a hammock is said to improve memory, and as a result improve reading and learning.
(It’s not the hammock. It’s the fact that there is no room for a snoring, coughing, cover-stealing spouse!)
(Because when you are in the backyard, you can do one of two things: Cut the grass…or sleep. Easy decision.)
(Of course I sleep longer in a hammock. I can’t get out!)

NEW CHEERLEADER FORMATION:
The NFL started a new era last night. Both the L.A. Rams and New Orleans Saints were scheduled to feature the debuts of the first male cheerleaders in league history in their respective pre-season games. Unlike the Baltimore Ravens and Indianapolis Colts, who have men on their squads to perform stunts, these new male additions to the spirit squads were set to dance alongside their female colleagues.
(It’s not that there have never been men dancing and cheering at a football game before. It’s just that they’ve always been at their seats…with a partly-spilled beer in their hand!)
(Let’s call a spade a spade and just refer to them as ‘beerleaders’!)
(We have seen semi-clad men getting a big cheer out of the hometown crowd before, but up ’til now, we called them streakers!)
