BS SHOW BIZ BUZZ:
★ Johnny Knoxville and Steve-O have been sent to hospital after just two days of filming “Jackass 4”. The actors and stunt performers, known for their work on previous Jackass films, were reportedly jumping on a full speed treadmill while carrying “band equipment”, including a tuba, when they sustained injuries. According to a report, neither star is seriously injured, and filming is expected to resume soon. Jackass 4 will be the first film involving the whole cast since the death of Ryan Dunn in 2011, at the age of 34.

★ A sequel series to “Night Court” is in development at NBC. The follow-up to the classic sitcom will see original series star John Larroquette return as ‘Dan Fielding’. Big Bang Theory’s Melissa Rauch is an executive producer. The new multi-cam show will follow unapologetic optimist judge ‘Abby Stone’, the daughter of the original series character ‘Harry Stone’, who was played by Harry Anderson. Abby will follow in her father’s footsteps, presiding over the night shift of a Manhattan arraignment court.
-Yahoo
★ Prepare yourselves, Coke fans, Fox has ordered “Cherries Wild,” a half-hour trivia game show hosted by Jason Biggs that will heavily promote Pepsi’s Wild Cherry brand. The soda maker partnered with the network for the show. The fast-paced half-hour game show will feature two rounds of “pop” culture trivia gameplay – during which a team of two contestants will try and “Solve the Slots” in hopes of getting one step closer to winning the $250,000 jackpot.
-TheWrap
★ Don’t expect Christopher Walken to follow in Mandy Patinkin’s footsteps and twerk on TikTok anytime soon, especially since he has never owned a cellphone or computer. Appearing remotely on “The Late Show”, Walken told Stephen Colbert, “Somebody had to come and set this up because I don’t have a cellphone or a computer.” Colbert asked if Walken had a moral reason for avoiding technology, and Walken responded: “No, I just got to it too late. I think I’m right at a certain age where it just passed me by. And…it would be strange to have any 10-year-old be much better at it than I am.”

SORTA DRESSED UP AND NO PLACE TO GO:
If you want to look good for a Zoom meeting, but can’t stand the thought of getting all dressed up, this could be for you. A Japanese clothing company has created a “Pajamas Suit” that’s meant to resemble office attire but feel like sleepwear. Aoki Holdings is marketing the navy, beige, black and dark grey suits for both male and female teleworkers, describing them as “more than pajamas and less than fashionable clothes.” The jackets are knit cardigans and can be mixed and matched with elastic-waist pants designed for sitting for long periods. All items in the collection cost US $48.
(These are TOTALLY my jams!)
(For any dudes who are getting married soon…Stop. Thinking. Now.)
(I’m pretty sure I had this as a Halloween costume when I was 8!)

NEWS OF THE WEIRD:
➢ It’s the go-to excuse for not having your homework done, but this time, it was true. A pair of pups in the Philippines were caught in the act – of eating their human brother’s homework. In video captured by security cameras, Darren Lamban and his cousin are asleep when a hungry husky creeps into the room — where his pug pal is snoozing on one of the boy’s chests. The larger dog, named Sam, comes across a few sheets of paper on a desk, drags them to the ground and begins digging in. Soon, Sam and the smaller dog, Mayor, are seen chowing down on what turned out to be the teenagers’ homework. They were confused to find their work shredded on the floor when they awoke, until they viewed the footage that showed the dogs had literally eaten their homework. (You’ve heard of a “dog’s breakfast”?)
➢ Instead of walking down the aisle, a woman in Zambia walked into a courtroom. 26-year-old Gertrude Ngoma sued the father of her child, 28-year-old Herbert Salaliki, for not proposing to her after dating for 8 years. In his defence, Salaliki said he wants to marry her, but can’t afford it. The judge told the would-be bride that the court couldn’t do anything for her as there was no formal marriage, despite the fact that a dowry had been paid. (This is NOT the type of “courtship” either had in mind 8 years ago!)

DID YOU KNOW?
Matt Goodman of Boston turned 21 last week but wasn’t able to share his first beer with his dad. But his father John, who passed away 6 years ago, wanted to be sure that he purchased the first legal libation for his son. Before he passed, John gave Matt’s sister Casey a $10 bill and told her to save it for her brother’s 21st birthday. Casey and their mother kept it hidden for 6 years until last week, when they gave Matt the $10. The family went out for breakfast on Matt’s birthday, and John bought his son his first legal beer. Matt ordered a Bud Light, his dad’s favorite.

TODAY’S BS REASONS TO PARTY . . .
• “Answer the Telephone Like Buddy the Elf Day”. The idea is to answer: “Buddy the Elf, what’s your favorite color?”, a quote from the 2003 Will Ferrell movie “Elf”.

• “Bake Cookies Day”. What’s the best kind of homemade cookie: Chocolate Chip, Oatmeal-Raisin, or Peanut Butter? (And why is it Peanut Butter?)

• “Roast Suckling Pig Day”, “Here [co-host], put this apple in your mouth!”

• “Underdog Day”, the 45th annual, saluting the underdogs and the unsung heroes, the ‘Number Twos’ who contribute so much to the ‘Number Ones’ that we always hear about:  Sherlock Holmes’ Dr Watson, Captain Kirk’s Mr. Spock, Garfunkel, etc.

• “Flake Appreciation Day”, a fun day created to encourage us to take notice of snowflakes and to be mesmerized by each one that falls (And keep your “Everybody’s a snowflake these days” jokes to yourself!”)

• “International Migrants Day”, a day of solidarity for migrant workers, on the anniversary of the UN’s 1990 adoption of the International Convention on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrants Workers & Members of Their Families. (Catchy name.)

• “National Twin Day”, celebrates the siblings who enjoy the unique connection because they share a birthday. (as well as DNA…)

• “Ugly Christmas Sweater Day”, an annual event on the 3rd Friday of December celebrating the seasonal fad that’s become so commercialized that thrift stores are charging top prices for them and other retailers are selling kits to make them.

• “Wear a Plunger on Your Head Day” We’re not exactly what you are supposed to do to observe this “special” day…

SATURDAY-
• “Look for an Evergreen Day”, saluting people for whom only a fresh-cut real tree will do for Christmas.  For them, the scent of fresh pine helps to capture the feeling of the holidays. (But remember…just because you find one, it doesn’t mean it’s yours!)
• “Oatmeal Muffin Day”, a day to enjoy the cholesterol-lowering benefit of oatmeal in your muffins … then slather on a ton of butter and enjoy!
• “Holly Day”, while the prickly leaves and berries make lovely additions to any holiday décor, eating holly can be bad for your health. The leaves and berries can cause nausea, diarrhea, vomiting and other issues. Holly is toxic to dogs, cats and horses, and consuming 20 or more berries can actually be fatal to children. (Happy Holly-days, here’s a deadly plant for you!)
• “Hard Candy Day”, a celebration of all types of hard candies—everything from lollipops to candy canes to caramels. (If you don’t have one, just ask any older lady carrying a purse. She has at least 30 in there…usually unwrapped.)
• “Super Saturday”, the last Saturday before Christmas, a major day of revenue for retailers, marking the end of the shopping season that they, and many customers, believe begins on Black Friday.

SUNDAY-
• “Dot Your i’s Day”, don’t be a poor penmanship perpetrator. Stop the neglect and give i’s their dots.
• “Go Caroling Day”, a day to get together and sing out with friends, family, or a singing group. Nursing homes, hospitals and other places often welcome carolers if you call ahead. We suppose ‘socially-distanced’ caroling could be done this year… (***See ‘Today’s Phone Starter’, below***)
• “International Human Solidarity Day”, a UN observance since 2005 to remind us of the importance of solidarity and the spirit of sharing in combatting poverty worldwide.
• “Sangria Day”, put a little “olé” in your life with the traditional fruity wine punch named for the Spanish word ‘sangre’, which means ‘blood’.
• “Games Day”. The best-selling board game of all-time? ‘Monopoly’, with over 250 million sold in 80 countries in 26 languages since 1935. An estimated 500 million people have played ‘Monopoly’ since its inception (and half of those games are still going on…) New version for 2020: Monopoly ‘Speed’, which guarantees you’ll finish in under 10 minutes…

Best of BS . . .
IF DOGS DID THE CHRISTMAS SHOPPING:
• All the presents would be buried instead of wrapped.
• They would all say “From Santa Paws”.
• I’d probably get a phone with collar ID.
• They would make us return the gift so they could go get it again.
• Mmmmm. Bacon.
• Some people wouldn’t mind working retail during the holiday season.
• They would do a better job than most men.
• Christmas morning would be Ruff.
• We probably wouldn’t force them to sit on the floor and beg for scraps during Christmas dinner.
• I don’t have a dog, so I wouldn’t get shihtzu.

TODAY’S SLICE OF BS:
➠ InsiderMonkey’s list of 2020’s highest paid actors has Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson at number one with $87.5 million earned. (Not to be outdone, Hulk Hogan is eyeballing a new reality show where he and Carrot Top learn how to train poodles for a traveling circus.)
➠ HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Steven Spielberg is 74 and Keith Richards is 77 today. (Spielberg and Richards are very different, of course. One is a showbiz legend whose work with dinosaurs continues to amaze. And the other is Steven Spielberg…)
➠ Florida Lottery’s POWERBALL and Mega Millions jackpots are both over $275 million dollars.  (Experts say if you stacked 275 million one-dollar bills from end-to-end in two different stacks, it would mean . . . . . . you have OCD.)
➠ A poll claims that 31% of holiday shoppers have yet to buy a single Christmas gift. (Yeah, there’s a name for these people: “Husbands”.)
➠ Fact of the Day:  For a million years, the population of humans was less than 26,000. (Then, came the invention of hot tubs and wine-coolers…)
