Monthly Planning Calendar in Today’s Issue!
BS SHOW BIZ BUZZ:
Actress Malinda Williams tells “Life & Style” magazine she wouldn’t be surprised if her 28-year-old “Nailed” co-star Jake Gyllenhaal weds his 32-year-old actress-girlfriend Reese Witherspoon in the very near future (they were recently spotted ring shopping in NYC) . . . 48-year-old Demaris Meyer, the ‘mystery woman’ in 71-year-old actor Morgan Freeman’s car when he flipped it last Summer in Mississippi, is now suing him for injuries suffered, both physical and to her reputation (Quote: “I am not ‘Miss Daisy’ … I was not and never have been his mistress”) . . . Lauren Conrad claims the upcoming 5th season of “The Hills” (MTV) will be the last (has anyone told ‘Speidi’ yet?) . . . It’s over between 41-year-old illusionist Criss Angel & 30-year-old “Girl Next Door” Holly Madison, a rep confirming she’s dumped him but that they remain close friends (apparently his wand wasn’t so magic) . . . Fed up with the price of kids’ duds, Britney Spears’ ex-, Kevin Federline, wants to start a discount line of children’s clothing and is in talks with Gerard Guez about a licensing deal (apparently$20,000-a-month in child support just isn’t enough) . . . 18-year-old “Slumdog Millionaire” star Dev Patel is in talks to appear on the real-life UK version of TV game show “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” (ITV) alongside director Danny Boyle, with proceeds going to children’s charities (a case of art imitating – art) . . . And actress Julianna Margulies has confirmed to “TV Guide” that her “ER” character, nurse ‘Carol Hathaway’, will return to the show in the April 2nd series finalé alongside George Clooney’s ‘Dr Doug Ross’ and the former onscreen duo will be married and – parents to twins (well thanks for blowing the entire storyline Juliana – what’s the opposite of a ‘cliffhanger’?).

• Jonas Bros – They picked up the ‘Worst Album’ and ‘Worst Band’ honors at this week’s “NME Awards” in London.

• No Doubt – They’ve announced a 45-city Summer tour which begins May 3 in East Rutherford NJ. Canadian stops include Toronto, Montréal, Winnipeg, Calgary, Edmonton, and Vancouver.

• TI – He tells entertainment news show “Extra” that his conviction on a federal firearms charge means he’ll be serving exactly the same sentence as lifestyle guru Martha Stewart, a 5 month stint in prison. He says he’d be pleased to receive pointers from her on how to serve his time.

BULK BINGE:
32-year-old fitness trainer Paul James of Melbourne, Australia says he’s about halfway to meeting his New Year’s resolution of … piling on 100 lbs. Why would he want to? So he can better understand his overweight clients. So far he’s ballooned from 175 lbs to 217, but vows he won’t stop overeating until he hits a rotund 280 lbs. He’s gaining the weight by feasting on a calorie-rich diet, avoiding all daily exercise, and drinking beer every evening. He plans to hit his target in March, hold his weight steady until June, then try to lose the pounds by early October. (Okay how many people are starting to really hate on this guy?)

SOCIAL BRAGGING SITE:
In case Facebook isn’t ‘look at me!’ enough for you, the website Diddit allows you to boast about all the things you’ve done in your life (cities visited, adventures survived, food & drink consumed, etc) plus all the magnificent things you plan to do in future. Users compile lists of completed experiences, called ‘diddits’, and future plans, called ‘wanna dos’, then share them with friends. For the particularly egocentric, the site has sections for users to ‘share stories of life experiences’ with other users. (We’ve started a diddit list of lamest websites we’ve seen.)

LIFE BY THE NUMBERS:
A BS snapshot of who we are and what we do …
• 80% of marriages that fail within the first year lacked approval from parents to begin with.
• 78% of married women fantasize about coming home to a clean house every day.
• 63% of females say women look better today than during their mother’s generation.
• 49% of single women & 38% of men say ‘personality’ is the single most important trait in a potential date.
• 24% of homeowners are embarrassed to leave their garage door open.
• 10% of us have at least one french fry somewhere in our vehicle.
FOR THE RECORD:
This record can only be broken in Rio de Janeiro: This week a samba dancer has worn the smallest scrap of clothing ever in a “Carnaval” parade. Model Dani Sperle sported a silver headdress, a necklace, matching arm bands … and nothing else but a 3-cm-long (1.2-in) patch of cloth. That breaks the record set last year by Viviane Castro, whose covering was all of 4-cm-long (1.6 in).

AND WE QUOTE:
“Kara (DioGuardi) and I have known each other for years and we get along great. But we tried 4 judges before and it doesn’t work. It takes up so much time for each of us to give our opinion that it slows down the pace of the show.”
– “American Idol” judge Paula Abdul in “OK!” magazine. (It would take a lot less time if she’d actually spit out a coherent sentence!)
