• DMX – The imprisoned rapper is facing additional charges after he allegedly threw a tray of food at an Arizona detention officer. He’s now facing aggravated assault charges.
• Franz Ferdinand – The Scots rocker’s new track “No You Girls” features the band playing … human bones. Frontman Alex Kapranos says he stumbled upon a box of bones that he bought for $17. Later the group decided they might make an unusual percussion sound.
• Jewel – She’s suffered a knee injury while rehearsing for “Dancing With the Stars” (ABC). She’s scheduled to compete with husband Ty Murray on the new season beginning March 9, but now she’s worried she won’t be able to compete.
• Jonas Bros – They picked up the ‘Worst Album’ and ‘Worst Band’ honors at this week’s “NME Awards” in London.
• Mariah Carey – She isn’t letting the economic crunch wreck her shopping; she bought over $200,000 worth of chairs, sofas, and other furnishings during a 4-hour spree at a trendy store on Melrose Avenue to help fill up her new Los Angeles home.
• No Doubt – They’ve announced a 45-city Summer tour which begins May 3 in East Rutherford NJ. Canadian stops include Toronto, Montréal, Winnipeg, Calgary, Edmonton, and Vancouver.
• Rihanna – “Star Magazine” claims she might be pregnant. The gossip is that she knew it before the Chris Brown fight but was hesitant to tell him as she thought he might get upset.
• Taylor Swift – She’s featured in cameo appearances in both “The Jonas Brothers: 3D Concert Experience” and in Miley Cyrus’ “Hannah Montana: The Movie” that hits theaters April 10. Swift just landed atop the “Billboard” album chart for a 10th non-consecutive week with “Fearless”.
• TI – He tells entertainment news show “Extra” that his conviction on a federal firearms charge means he’ll be serving exactly the same sentence as lifestyle guru Martha Stewart, a 5 month stint in prison. He says he’d be pleased to receive pointers from her on how to serve his time.

BULK BINGE:
32-year-old fitness trainer Paul James of Melbourne, Australia says he’s about halfway to meeting his New Year’s resolution of … piling on 100 lbs. Why would he want to? So he can better understand his overweight clients. So far he’s ballooned from 175 lbs to 217, but vows he won’t stop overeating until he hits a rotund 280 lbs. He’s gaining the weight by feasting on a calorie-rich diet, avoiding all daily exercise, and drinking beer every evening. He plans to hit his target in March, hold his weight steady until June, then try to lose the pounds by early October. (Okay how many people are starting to really hate on this guy?)

In case Facebook isn’t ‘look at me!’ enough for you, the website Diddit allows you to boast about all the things you’ve done in your life (cities visited, adventures survived, food & drink consumed, etc) plus all the magnificent things you plan to do in future. Users compile lists of completed experiences, called ‘diddits’, and future plans, called ‘wanna dos’, then share them with friends. For the particularly egocentric, the site has sections for users to ‘share stories of life experiences’ with other users. (We’ve started a diddit list of lamest websites we’ve seen.)
