Deja Moo!

BS SHOW BIZ BUZZ:
★ “The Masked Singer” host Nick Cannon has tested positive for the COVID-19 coronavirus, which means he won’t be seen in at least the first few episodes of the hit reality series’ fifth season. Instead, producers have tapped actress and host Niecy Nash to fill in. Cannon is currently in quarantine and resting. Fox expects Cannon to return to the series later in the season. Season 5 of “The Masked Singer” is scheduled to premiere in March. Returning to the show as usual are panelists Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, Nicole Scherzinger, Ken Jeong and Robin Thicke.

★ “Jeopardy!” has announced its next batch of celebrity guest hosts. They include Anderson Cooper, Dr. Mehmet Oz, Savannah Guthrie and Dr. Sanjay Gupta. The four hosts will each temporarily take over hosting roles later this season, following “Jeopardy!” champ Ken Jennings and other previously-announced guest hosts, like Katie Couric, Aaron Rodgers, Bill Whitaker and Mayim Bialik. Sony Pictures Television, which produces the show, will make a donation to the hosts’ favorite charities during their week of episodes, in an amount equal to the cumulative winnings for the week.
-NYPost, The Wrap
★ Dustin Diamond was working on a “Saved by the Bell” reboot of his own before he got sick and tragically passed…sort of. The plan was to bring back his character Screech’s sidekick ‘Kevin’ for a series of insurance ads. Dustin’s friend, Dan Block of Insurance King, said they’ve been working on building their very own Kevin (Screech’s A.I. creation on the original series) — over the past year. They wanted to shoot a series of commercials with Diamond and Kevin, where he introduces the robot he built to help save money on car insurance.

★ Josh Duhamel has been confirmed as Armie Hammer’s replacement in “Shotgun Wedding”. Lionsgate has announced that Duhamel has officially joined the cast of the upcoming rom-com, after Hammer stepped down amid a social media scandal. Duhamel will star alongside Jennifer Lopez in the flick, which follows the couple as their “extravagant destination wedding is hijacked by criminals”.

Behind her, Mariah Carey, Drake, Justin Bieber, Travis Scott and Taylor Swift all have 3 each. That’s Grande’s 20 Guinness musical record.
• The Weeknd – Just ahead of his Super Bowl LV halftime performance, he has announced his newly rescheduled “After Hours World Tour” dates. After originally being set for 2020 and postponed to this year, the North American leg will now begin Jan. 14, 2022 with two shows in Vancouver, BC, and conclude May 1st in Tacoma, WA. LINK: https://tinyurl.com/1eruihs3
• Mariah Carey – is being sued by her estranged sister. Alison Carey claims she has suffered emotional distress from allegations Mariah made about her in her book “The Meaning of Mariah Carey”, and she wants $1.25 million in compensation. Mariah’s memoir claims Alison “gave her Valium, tried to pimp her out and threw a cup of boiling hot tea on her, causing third-degree burns” when Mariah was 12.
• Ozzy Osbourne – His son Jack says that appearing with Ozzy and the rest of the family on “The Osbournes” drove him into rehab with a “healthy Oxycontin habit”. On a podcast, Jack said: “I was not in a good place…I struggled a lot with depression even before the show, and then once the show kicked off, I kind of fell into drugs and alcohol.” He ended up in rehab at age 17.
• Queen – Roger Taylor has a Freddie Mercury statue in his garden. The drummer nabbed the memorial to his late bandmate for the grounds of his sprawling estate in Surrey, England after it was removed from outside the Dominion Theatre, where The Queen musical “We Will Rock You” was staged in 2014.
• KISS — Gene Simmons has sold his Hollywood Hills pad with stunning views of downtown LA for $2 million. He also owns a Beverly Hills mansion which served as the backdrop for his reality show “Gene Simmons Family Jewels”, which he put on the market last year for $22 million after moving his family to Washington State.
• Soundgarden – is among the artists featured on an expanded vinyl reissue of the soundtrack to the 1989 film classic “Say Anything”. It contains a booklet with never-before-seen photos and liner notes from Cameron Crowe, John Cusack, and more. Other musical additions include songs from Aerosmith, Heart guitarist Nancy Wilson, and a live version of Peter Gabriel’s ‘In Your Eyes’.
• Morgan Wallen – the hole he dug for himself just got deeper. After being caught on video using a racial slur, he’s been “suspended indefinitely” by his record label. His music was yanked by 4 of the largest radio groups in the US, and CMT has dropped his videos. He has apologized.
• Brothers Osborne — Lead singer T.J. Osborne has come out in an interview with “Time.” The 36-year-old said that he has known since he was young that he is gay and told family and friends years ago. Quote: “People will ask, ‘Why does this even need to be talked about?’ and personally, I agree with that. But for me to show up at an awards show with a man would be jaw-dropping to people.”
• Carly Pearce – has shared the huge news that her music has been streamed a billion times. She wrote on Facebook: “To each and every one of you who have listened to, connected with and supported my music these years…thank you. My music has officially surpassed 1 BILLION streams worldwide which is crazy!!!! Love y’all so much”. LINK: https://tinyurl.com/2n5pqrwq

SHOOTING THE BULL

NEW OF THE WORLD:
➢A New York state house billed as “the first 3D printed home in the United States” is listed for sale with an asking price of $299,999. The Riverhead home was built by a company called SQ4D using an “autonomous robotic construction system” that involved a massive 3D printer creating each piece of the home at the building site. According to the company, the home, built with concrete, “will deliver strength and durability that conventional wood-frame construction cannot match.” The 1,400-square-foot house features three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a detached two-car garage. (It would have 4 bedrooms, but the printer jammed!)
➢ The world’s tallest swing ride has opened in Dubai, reaching heights up to 460 feet (140 m). The Bollywood Skyflyer is part of the Bollywood Parks Dubai, and is about 10 feet higher than the Orlando Starflyer in Florida, which was until now the tallest in the world. Passengers on the ride will be lifted into the air where they can experience panoramic views of the park while being spun around in their seat. The Bollywood Skyflyer is made of 421 tons of steel, took 600 days to build and another 120 days to install. (Nothing like a ride where you lose your change and your lunch at the same time!)

NEWS OF THE WEIRD:
➢ The Texas Department of Public Safety said an Amber Alert that was issued for the cursed doll ‘Chucky’ from the “Child’s Play” horror films was actually a test that was accidentally sent out. The Amber Alert message, sent out to subscribers of the Texas Alerts System 3 times last Friday, described the suspect, Chucky, as wearing “blue denim overalls with multi-colored striped long sleeve shirt” and said he was last seen “wielding a huge kitchen knife.” It indicated that Chucky was suspected of abducting ‘Glen Ray’, the cursed doll’s son from the film “Seed of Chucky”. The alert included photos of both characters. The Texas Department of Safety says the fake Amber Alert was set up as a system test that was not meant to be seen by the public. (Three times? Well, when it comes to Chucky, you’ve got to expect sequels!)
➢ (***Caution***) Chinese officials have reassured members of the public that newly-introduced “anal swab” coronavirus tests will not make them waddle like penguins, after a video purportedly showing people struggling to walk after using them went viral. The video, set to a laugh track, is fake, according to officials, who offered no further explanation on what it is that the video actually shows.  Authorities say the new tests, which involve inserting a cotton-tipped swab 1-2 inches into the, well…you know, detect the virus more accurately than oral and nasal methods, and are only used in high-risk cases. (I’m guessing they aren’t using these at drive-thru testing sites?)

DID YOU KNOW?
Now drinking is bad for you again. Despite the longstanding advice that a glass of wine per day is good for the heart, a study printed in the European Health Journal shows that even small amounts of alcohol can cause heart trouble. The study looked at the medical histories of more than 100,000 people, and found that the risk of irregular heartbeat and other cardiovascular problems increases as soon as alcohol is introduced, in any quantity. Even at just one drink a day, the risk of developing heart arrhythmia went up by 16%.
(They couldn’t have told me this AFTER the Super Bowl?)
