Here’s More Bull Roar!
BS SHOW BIZ BUZZ:
Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie are expecting twins again, at least according to “OK!” magazine, which claims they’ve only spilled the good news about numbers 7 & 8 to very close friends and family (since making “Moneyball”, he’s trying to field a full team) . . . E! News has confirmed that Paul Brittain has left “Saturday Night Live” after a 1-year stint as a featured player and will not be appearing on this weekend’s episode hosted by Channing Tatum (no more ‘Sex Ed’) . . . Veteran journalist Barbara Walters is denying reports that she and Oprah Winfrey are locked in a vicious bidding war for an exclusive interview with Pippa Middleton (famous for wearing a tight dress) . . . Selena Gomez says in the new issue of “Cosmopolitan” that she & BF Justin Bieber would like to be ‘as normal as possible’ (yeah, we all rent out entire arenas to have dinner & a movie, don’t we?) . . . According to her Twitter feed, Miley Cyrus may have cracked her tailbone and broken an arm while trying to ‘do a flip on her couch’ (who the heck is Flip?) . . . Filmmaker James Cameron is preparing to leave California and move to a 1,000-hectare farm in the Wairarapa region of New Zealand, where he’ll reportedly start filming his “Avatar” sequel later this year (he’s so rich he doesn’t bother with hotels anymore) . . . Oscar-winning actress Natalie Portman is set to become a first-time TV producer with an adaptation of the 1978 best-selling Judith Krantz novel “Scruples”, which will be turned into a 1-hour ‘sexy soap set in the late 1970s’ (your grandma will be thrilled) . . . And Ashton Kutcher is warning unfriendly entertainment journalists that he may block them from his Twitter feeds (please, do us all!).

PRIVACY, WHAT PRIVACY?
Received messages from Google regarding changes to its privacy policy? Here’s the straight talk on what’s going on – up until now, data that Google collected on you when you used its search engine or YouTube was kept separate from its other products. That will change March 1st when the company begins using that data to ‘improve & customize’ your experience on other services, such as Google-plus. Google is attempting to justify the removal of these privacy partitions by describing the change as ‘treating you as a single user’. A few tips on protecting your search privacy here …

WHY IT’S CALLED A ‘SUGAR FIX’:
Sure, sugar’s bad for you. But should we establish a drinking age for sugary soft drinks? According to University of California at San Francisco researcher Robert Lustig, the answer is emphatically ‘yes!’ He claims added sweeteners such as fructose and sucrose can be addictive and have health effects comparable to alcohol and tobacco. Lustig and his colleagues argue that regulations should be created to block access to sugar, such as zoning ordinances to control the number of fast-food outlets and convenience stores around schools. (Is social control really practical? Why not just ban the stuff outright?)

POND SCUM ON STEROIDS:
By some estimates, 46,000 pieces of plastic trash float in every square mile of ocean. Massive quantities of waste, often tinier than salt grains, have created huge ‘garbage patches’ formed into slowly rotating rings or ‘gyres’. These giant dead spots formed by currents and winds push trash toward the becalmed centers. One of these, known as the ‘Eastern Garbage Patch’, which lies midway between California and Hawaii, is estimated to be twice the size of Texas. (Cool, soon we’ll be able to walk to Waikiki!)
