BS SHOW BIZ BUZZ:
★ To the delight of many fans, Zack Snyder and HBO Max have unveiled the first trailer for the director’s 4-hour-long version of 2017’s “Justice League”, titled “Zack Snyder’s Justice League.” After the movie was released to mixed reviews, fans began a relentless campaign for the “Snyder cut” of the film. Their bid paid off three years later when Snyder confirmed he was working on his own cut of the film for HBO Max. Most excitingly, the 2-minute-long trailer teases a confrontation between Ben Affleck’s ‘Batman’ and Jared Leto’s ‘Joker’. It debuts on HBO Max on March 18.

★ Meghan Markle and Prince Harry picked a very special day to announce that they are expecting their second child together — and not just because it was Valentine’s Day. The date of their baby announcement is extra special because Harry’s late mother Princess Diana officially announced she was expecting her second child — Harry — in February 1984. Although the Palace made the announcement on Feb. 13, it was splashed across newspapers on Valentine’s Day.

★ Regé-Jean Page, the hot new star of Netflix’s “Bridgerton,” will be making his “Saturday Night Live” hosting debut on Feb. 20. He will be joined by musical guest Bad Bunny, whose latest album, “El Ultimo Tour del Mundo,” debuted #1 on the Billboard 200. It will be both his and Page’s first appearance on SNL. Page is currently nominated for a SAG Award, an NAACP Award and a Satellite Award, all for his performance on “Bridgerton.”

★ “Deadliest Catch” star Nick McGlashan died from a drug overdose, according to the autopsy report. McGlashan starred in almost 80 episodes of the Discovery Channel series between 2013 and 2020. He was a seventh-generation fisherman and was named after a great-uncle who was a pioneer in the American crabbing industry. He was reportedly in Nashville to meet friends when he died after taking a “toxic mix of methamphetamine, cocaine, and fentanyl,” in a hotel room on Dec. 28, according to the autopsy report.

BS MUSIC NOTES:
• Cardi B — found herself out of her element in the latest episode of her Facebook Watch series “Cardi Tries”. She joined country singer Mickey Guyton to try her hand at ranching. Cardi hopes to build a farm on land that she and her husband Offset own near Atlanta, so she decided it was time to learn how to milk cows and feed pigs. Her verdict? Pigs are “stinky” and cows are “the sweetest animal”.
Nicki Minaj – Police say her father Robert Maraj died after he was struck by a hit-and-run driver in New York. The 64-year-old was struck by a vehicle while walking on Long Island on Friday. An investigation is ongoing.
• Meghan Trainor – She and husband Daryl Sabara have welcomed their first child. On Sunday, she shared a series of photos of their baby boy, Riley, writing: “We are SO IN LOVE. Thank you @darylsabara for the best Valentine’s gift ever! Welcome to the world Riley!”
• Janet Jackson — shared a tearful video after her “Control” album topped the charts – again. The record recently celebrated its 35th anniversary by hitting #1 on Apple’s Top 40 US Pop Album chart. In the video, Jackson said: “I never, never in a million years, I would never think that this would happen.”
• Britney Spears — Contrary to reports, a source says she is NOT working on a new documentary about her life. Last week, rumors surfaced that she was collaborating with an unnamed female filmmaker following the release of the New York Times documentary “Framing Britney Spears”.
• Whitesnake – singer David Coverdale says he is currently “working on songs potentially to present to (Led Zeppelin’s) Jimmy Page”, possibly for use as bonus tracks on a reissue of their early 90s collaboration “Coverdale-Page”.
• Ozzy Osbourne – says he’s “relieved” after receiving his first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. He made the announcement in a virtual appearance alongside his wife Sharon. Due to his health problems, he previously said that he wanted the vaccine, because he knew skipping it could have severe repercussions.
• Morgan Wallen – In spite of recent controversies, his “Dangerous: The Double Album” continues to rule the Billboard 200 chart for a 5th straight week, and 2018’s “If I Know Me” has hit #10 on the chart, surpassing its previous peak of #13.
• Dwight Yoakam, Hank Williams Jr., and Miranda Lambert – are among the big names who have signed on to play socially-distanced concerts at Billy Bobs, the “Biggest Honky Tonk in the World”, in Forth Worth, TX. Billy Bob’s is large enough to offer safe shows, yet still accommodate some of the biggest draws in country music. The 100,000 sq. ft. venue usually has a capacity of 6,000. That has been scaled back to about 1,200 during the pandemic.
• Dolly Parton — says she plans to reunite with her “9 To 5” costars Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin when she makes a guest appearance on the Netflix series “Grace and Frankie”, which features both of them. In an interview, Parton called it a “crazy wonderful show”, and indicated she’s game for a cameo once “it’s safe for us to actually do a production.”
SHOOTING THE BULL
UNCLASSIFIED FLYING OBJECTS:
The US Pentagon has admitted that it has held on to and tested wreckage from UFO crashes. Researcher Anthony Bragalia wrote a letter to the Defence Intelligence Agency 3 years ago requesting details of UFO material and tests that may have been carried out. In response to his Freedom of Information request, the DIA released 154 pages of results, including information of a ‘memory’ metal called Nitinol which remembers its original shape when folded. Bragalia says what he received is a “stunning admission” that The Pentagon has held and tested debris from UFOs. Quote: “They have been able to learn some things about the materials of construction which hold tremendous promise as futuristic materials which will change our lives forever.” But the DIA did hold back certain details, including whether any materials could be of alien origin.
(Well, that explains why they were so sensitive when everyone wanted to “Storm Area 51”!!)
(So…if these UFOs aren’t alien, what the heck ARE they?)
(I’m really hoping to get my mother-in-law a car made out of that ‘Nitinol’ stuff…)

FACEPLANT:
A new viral TikTok challenge has many women coming out on top…and men bottoming out. If you’d like to try the “Center of Gravity Challenge” yourself, what you need to do is get down on your knees, rest on your arms in front of you, raise your hands to your chin while using your elbows to keep you balanced, then try to put your hands behind your back. What generally happens is that men immediately tumble to the floor, while most women are able to hold the pose. How? Apparently, it all comes down to differences in our centers of gravity and mass. Halftime magazine says: “a man’s center of gravity is located at the center of his chest at his sternum while a woman’s…is located approximately in the center of her pelvis’. The challenge is spreading across TikTok, with many users giving it a try alongside a friend or partner of the opposite sex. And some males are posting captions like: “I tried this and fell on my nose”, or “Owwwww I just tried and broke my nose.”

(I definitely didn’t try this and definitely didn’t knock a tooth out!)

TAKE A HINT – HECK, TAKE SEVERAL:
If you were considering popping the question on Valentine’s Day, but…didn’t, don’t worry about it…October is coming. A new survey finds it takes 36 hints over the course of almost 8 months for the average person to get their significant other to propose. In the OnePoll survey of 2,000 engaged people, 54% said they dropped hints to their partner encouraging them to propose. The most common hint involved “accidentally” sending texts or emails with ads for rings (59% did that), followed by putting on shows or movies about weddings (45%), and enlisting friends to start conversations about engagements (38%).
(How many women are listening to this and saying: “JUST 36 hints?”
(Fine! Marry me! Just don’t make me watch another rom-com!)
(Or, you know, maybe it takes that long to save up the “required” 2-months’ wages that they say you’re supposed to spend on a ring!)
