BS SHOW BIZ BUZZ:
★ The guy who allegedly stole Frances McDormand’s Oscar is not going to escape criminal charges just because she doesn’t want him prosecuted. It turns out the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences still technically owns the hardware, despite the fact that McDormand ‘won’ it, and her name is engraved on it. Therefore the Academy is listed as the victim on the police report, and they want the book thrown at him. Terry Bryant has now been officially charged with the crime of felony grand theft. If convicted, he faces a maximum of 3 years in state prison.
(Does that mean Gary Oldman should be jailed too? Because he stole the Oscar from Timothée Chalamet!)

★ Mötley Crüe rocker Tommy Lee is alleging that his 21-year-old son, Brandon Lee knocked him unconscious in a domestic altercation.  He posted a now deleted photo of his bloodied mouth on Instagram Monday, captioned with:  “My heart is broken.  You can give your kids everything they could ever want in their entire lives and they can still turn against you. Good job Brandon! Great son!”  He later tweeted to TMZ:  “My fiancé and I were in bed when my son busted into the room and assaulted me. I asked him to leave the house and he knocked me unconscious.”  Brandon is one of the two children Lee had with his ex-wife Pamela Anderson.

★ Wendy Williams will be returning to her show on March 19. She tweeted the news, and was sure to thank her friend, actor Jerry O’Connell, who will be filling in next week as her first-ever guest-host. Williams has been taking some time off to focus on her hyperthyroidism and Graves’ disease , per her doctor’s orders.
-CelebrityInsider, People
★ Sofia Vergara admits she is sad that ‘Modern Family’ is ending next year, but happy to have the chance to focus on making movies. She points out though, that she can’t be picky, because, she feels she is still new to acting, and has never taken an acting class in her life. She says, “I always feel very honored to have a director or my agents call me to offer me a part.”

★ A woman claims she tried a skincare product affiliated with Christie Brinkley Skincare only to be left with burns on her face. Carla Young claims that she signed up for a trial of SkinNoir and EyeNoir to be shipped to her home. She says the products are advertised to “replenish and rejuvenate skin.” After using the products, she says she “became aware of burns on her face as a result of the SkinNoir and EyeNoir products.” The woman is suing for pain and suffering, plus medical expenses and lost wages. She is seeking at least $450,000 in damages.
(I’ve been burned by a lot of mail-order offers too!)

BS MUSIC NOTES:

• Ed Sheeran – donated a guitar to raise funds for 11-year-old Melody Driscoll, who suffers from Rett Syndrom, which affects a victim’s ability to speak, walk, eat and breathe easily. Driscoll’s family will raffle off the guitar to help offset their expenses.
• Migos – Actor Jeff Goldblum has revealed that he’d love to collaborate with them, after being spotted with Quavo in recent months. When asked if they might work together on something, Goldblum said with a laugh, “Oh my gosh, I’d be thrilled to do any, any little thing with him and them…that would be a lot of fun. It could go anywhere! That’s a great idea.”
• Bruce Springsteen – is among the Sony artists who will have a new release for Record Store Day, April 21. Legacy Recordings, the catalog arm of Sony Music, has also announced limited-edition releases by AC/DC and Pink Floyd.

No release date yet. (Maybe she’s waiting for one more…?)
• Marilyn Manson – will hit the road with Rob Zombie this summer on the “Twins Of Evil – The Second Coming Tour”. The 29-date run begins in Detroit on July 11.
• Backstreet Boys – AJ McLean is one of the newest members of the Country Music Association, and he has announced that he’s going to be “the first solo country artist to shake things up”. The Backstreet Boys had a hit collaboration with Florida Georgia Line, ‘God, Your Mama and Me’.
• Jason Aldean – A group of fans who survived the Route 91 shooting in Las Vegas have banded together to present him with a gift of a photobook – and a request: finish the show. The fans are sending the book and some other gifts to Aldean with the request that he return to Vegas for a special show for Route 91 survivors and the families of the victims.

(Second) BORN TO BE WILD:
You’ve probably heard over the years that birth order contributes to certain traits in children. Just lately, a study showed how generally speaking, the firstborn is the most intelligent child. Now: what about that second child? Almost as smart? Not exactly. A study has concluded that second-born boys are more likely to…be criminals. They are statistically prone to be the child who gets in trouble at school or has issues with the law later in life. Researchers from MIT, Northwestern and University of Florida followed thousands of sets of brothers in Denmark and Florida—two dramatically different cultures. They found that second-born boys in both locations were 20-40% more likely to run afoul of authority figures and “enter the criminal justice system” than their older siblings. Why? The study authors theorize that this higher risk of delinquency could be due to the fact that second-born children do not receive the one-on-one focus and doting that their older siblings did. As a result, they may act out as a way to get their parents to focus on them.
(I hope that brainy first child is able to go to law school!)
(The firstborn is smart…or at least smart enough to stay out of jail!)
(What about the third boy….or did the parents give up by then?)

APPLE WATCH:
Five types of apples, once thought to be extinct, have been rediscovered in northern Idaho and eastern Washington. David Benscoter, who calls himself an ‘apple detective’, reports that the trees were found growing in the rolling hills of the Palouse agricultural area. Benscoter worked with apple experts at the Temperate Orchard Conservancy in Oregon and Fedco Seeds in Maine to positively identify the apple types. They were compared to written descriptions from old books and antique watercolor paintings. The newly rediscovered apples include the Shackleford, Saxon Priest, Kittageskee, Ewalt and McAffee varieties. He says about17,000 apple varieties are thought to have originated in North America, but only about 4,000 still exist today.
(Or, like 4,005 now…)
(I was sure this was gonna say that they were found at the bottom of the bin at my grocery store…)
(You know what they say: An apple from back in the day…)

TAKE MY MONEY PLEASE:
Gamechanger! Apparently Starbucks has introduced a new drink that tastes like…(get ready for it….) NUTELLA! Starbucks has introduced the ‘Hazelnut Mocha Coconutmilk Macchiato’, which is available starting this week, and it features what is being called one of the most satisfying flavor combinations: nutty hazelnuts and sweet chocolate. The lucky few who have been able to try it report that it tastes like Nutella – in iced-coffee form. And how could that be a bad thing?
(Sounds good. Too bad I’ll never be able to pronounce it well enough to order it…)
(You had me at Nutella!)
