BS SHOW BIZ BUZZ:
★ Colin Farrell pounded the pavement through city streets to complete the Dublin marathon – all for the sake of his friendship with Emma Fogarty, the longest-surviving person in Ireland with a rare genetic skin disorder. Farrell, who was one of 20,000 runners to compete, ran as part of “Team Emma”, with the actor pushing her wheelchair for the last 4 kilometers of the race. Each kilometer represented one decade Fogarty has lived with Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB). Farrell described the rxperience as “Extraordinary, extraordinary.”

★ Now that Broadway star Sutton Foster has filed for divorce, could the “Younger” star and her rumored new beau, Hugh Jackman, hit a red carpet together? Page Six reports a source as saying 49-year-old Foster, and Jackman, who is 56, are “in love” but have been keeping their romance a secret. But while the pair have been careful to stay out of the public eye, they’re inseparable, according to sources. Jackman did see Foster’s latest hit show, “Once Upon A Mattress,” in August. Foster filed for divorce from her husband of 10 years, “Ocean’s Eleven” screenwriter Ted Griffin, last week. Jackman filed for divorce from Deborra-Lee Furness, to whom he had been married for 27 years, in September 2023.

★ Netflix has added a new feature that will let you watch that carriage scene from “Bridgerton” over and over again — and share it with your friends. “Moments” launched on Monday on Netflix’s iOS app, with Android to follow. It is a feature that lets members save, rewatch and share their favorite scenes across Netflix titles. The streamer said: “members can quickly bookmark a scene while watching on their phone… (and) can also share their favorite scenes across platforms like Instagram and Facebook, creating a seamless way to engage with their favorite content and share it with friends.”

★ Matthew Perry’s Los Angeles home has a new owner. The former residence of the late “Friends” star, who was found dead in the hot tub of his Pacific Palisades abode on October 28, 2023, was purchased by movie producer and real estate developer Anita Verma-Lallian for $8.55 million. A rep for Verma-Lallian said she will use the 4-bedroom, 3,500-square-foot, mid-century modern property, which Perry purchased in 2020 for $6 million, as a vacation home.

★ Manhattan was buzzing on Sunday as hundreds of people dressed as Timothée Chalamet descended upon the Washington Arch to participate in a lookalike contest. But few expected Chalamet himself to make an appearance, but he did, as photos of the event started to spread across social media. Videos show fans launching into a frenzy after Chalamet showed up and embraced 2 of the lookalikes. Chalamet is currently in New York filming “Marty Supreme” with co-stars Gwyneth Paltrow and Tyler, The Creator, about the life of table tennis champ Marty Reisman. LINK: https://tinyurl.com/7b84jxf3

BS MUSIC NOTES:
• Adele — got emotional after seeing Céline Dion in the audience at her Las Vegas residency show on Saturday. Fan video shows Adele singing as she approaches Dion, then becoming tearful as the pair embraced. After they spoke for a few seconds, Dion kissed Adele’s hand before she returned to the stage. LINK: https://tinyurl.com/u8cj9yxb
• Lizzo – Her Halloween costume spoofs the TV special “South Park: The End of Obesity”, which referenced her and Ozempic. She posted a pic of herself wearing a gag “Lizzo” weight loss drug package, and quippy slogans like “Need self love? Try Lizzo!” and “Lose guilt, gain confidence”, and a disclaimer saying that side effects include “A smile on your face and a pep in your step.” LINK: https://tinyurl.com/mssy2at9
• Fleetwood Mac — Stevie Nicks has opened up on Lindsey Buckingham’s firing from the group in 2018. She told Rolling Stone: “I dealt with Lindsey for as long as I could. You could not say that I did not give him more than 300 million chances.” The incident that broke the camel’s back was at a charity gig when “he wasn’t very nice to anybody. He wasn’t very nice to Harry Styles.”
• Tool – has announced “Tool Live In The Sand”, a destination festival set to take place in the Dominican Republic March 7-9, 2025. Taking place at The Hard Rock Hotel Punta Cana, the event is designed to “bring Tool diehards from around the world for the ultimate vacation”.  The initial lineup announcement sees them joined by Primus, Mastodon, Eagles of Death Metal, and more. LINK: https://toolinthesand.com/
• Brenda Lee – A Spanish version of her holiday classic ‘Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree’ has been created with AI — with Lee’s approval. The new version, titled ‘Noche Buena y Navidad’, retains the original music and background vocals, but the new lead vocals sound as if 79-year-old Lee was back in the recording booth at age 13 singing the song in Spanish. LINK: https://youtu.be/jLootk0bu7U
• Mickey Guyton – teamed up with Canadian country artist Steven Lee Olsen on the new song ‘Never Not Care’. It was released on Friday. LINK: https://tinyurl.com/3hcfub2r
• Carrie Underwood – has finally revealed the workout she uses to retain her famously sculpted legs. The singer, who also runs the fitness brand, Fit52, shared a video, explaining that a lot of people ask about her leg day workout, and warns that it’s a bit intense. She then takes fans slowly through the moves so they can try her routine at home. LINK: https://tinyurl.com/5n75bsyc
• The Band Perry — Neil Perry has released his debut solo single ‘If You Can’t, Don’t’. According to him, the song allows him to show “a side of myself and open up in a way I haven’t up till now.” He’s currently in the studio working on his debut solo album.

SHOOTING THE BULL

GHOST HUNTING:
Have you ever considering basing you travel plans on visiting a legendarily scary destination? Here are 3 historic and fun places to visit if you’re interested in something a little more exotic than the local haunted hayride…
✪ Salem, Massachusetts: This is where 19 so-called “witches” were executed in the 17th century. Now, it’s a huge tourist destination that saw more than 1.2 million people visit in the 5 weeks leading to Halloween 2023. The annual festival began with an early-October parade, and will end Halloween night with fireworks and an all-day witches’ market and psychic fair. (Psychic fair? I wonder how many of us saw that coming…!)
✪ Ireland: These days, The Emerald Isle is making a push to bring tourists to the place where Halloween got its start. The occasion’s roots go back 2,000 years to Samhain, which marked the end of the harvest season. Ireland’s tourism body is inviting would-be visitors to visit archaeological sites and artifacts that can provide some background on the origins of the holiday. There are also fun activities such as The Halloween festival in Derry (the largest in Europe), and the Bram Stoker festival in Dublin, featuring 4 days of “deadly adventures”. (I went to Ireland, and my 4 days of deadly adventures started with a pint of warm Guinness!)
✪ Transylvania: Dracula fans (if there is such a thing…) can visit the castle in Romania’s Carpathian Mountains that Bram Stoker made famous in his novel. Bran Castle hosts a bash that Thrillist named “the best Halloween party.” You can take a tour in daytime – but you can also chance the night tour. Visit the castle restaurant (order something with garlic, just in case…) and check out the Time Tunnel, an interactive experience that takes you through the fortress’s history, which dates back to 1377. (And watch out for the “Sweet Transvestite”, Rocky Horror fans…)
(The scariest thing I want to experience in my travels is the price of a beer at the airport!)

DO-GOODERS LOOK GOOD:
If you like to help people, chances are that people find you more attractive than they otherwise would. That’s according to a new study by a team at Vienna University of Economics and Business, which found a “fascinating link” between looks and behavior. Results showed that attractive people are expected by others to be more generous and kind. In addition, researchers found the opposite to also be true: those who seem to be good people are also perceived as good-looking. The researchers concluded that understanding that generous individuals are perceived as more attractive “can help us challenge our biases, leading to fairer judgements and actions.”
(…and it’ll probably also lead to more cosmetic surgery, too…!)
(Sorry. My mind was wandering there. I was just imagining how horribly unattractive my neighbors must think I am…!)

WEDDING MUSIC:
Whitney Houston’s 1987 hit ‘I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me)’ has been named the most popular wedding song by Breezit, an online wedding vendor search tool. The Billboard #1 hit, which appeared on Houston’s second album “Whitney”, appeared 484 times across the 2,000 wedding-themed Spotify playlists that the company analyzed — which contained just under 50,000 songs. ABBA’s 1976 pop classic ‘Dancing Queen’ came second, used in 394 wedding playlists. Landing in third was Usher’s ‘Yeah!’, which features Lil Jon and Ludacris. Breezit CEO Arturas Asakavicius said: “Wedding playlists can help create lasting memories, capturing both the joy of the dance floor and the romance of walking down the aisle.”
(Definitely not the FIRST Whitney Houston song I expected to be featured on a wedding playlist…!)
(I’m a little embarrassed to say it, but in my family you’re not allowed to play a song at a wedding that doesn’t use a banjo!)

DID YOU KNOW?
American sandwich chain Jimmy John’s is serving up a new menu item that pickle lovers are sure to relish. The “Picklewich” combines their signature sandwiches with their fan-favorite Jimmy Pickles. As the name suggests, the Picklewich is a sandwich that uses pickles instead of bread. The limited-time item became available to customers nationwide yesterday, in 2 options, both with typical sub ingredients inside a giant hollowed-out kosher dill pickle. And to pair with the pickle sandwiches, Jimmy John’s is also offering the fan-favorite Pickle Jimmy Chips, which are, of course, pickle-flavored potato chips. (Pickles instead of a bun? Try deep-frying them. THEN we’ll talk!) LINK: https://tinyurl.com/u7zdxn6z
