Here’s More Bull Roar!
BS SHOW BIZ BUZZ:
★ Madonna has seemingly come out. In a new video shared to TikTok Sunday, the pop icon implied that she’s gay. Jumping on the back of a new TikTok trend, a pink-haired Madonna aimed to throw a pair of fuchsia underwear in the garbage. The words “If I miss, I’m Gay,” flashed across the screen as the 64-year-old threw and failed to sink the underwear into the open garbage can. She is then seen throwing her hands up in acceptance and playfully turns away from the camera, hand on hip. The video comes after Madonna was spotted kissing female Dominican rapper, Tokischa while sitting front row at New York Fashion Week, and during a Pride event over the summer. ★ Sorry America, but President Rock will not be sworn into office anytime soon. After toying with the idea for years, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has declared that a presidential run is officially, “off the table”. In an interview with “CBS Sunday Morning”, he said: “I love our country and everyone in it,” but “I also love being a daddy.” The 50-year-old father of 3 girls – ranging in age from 4 to 21, called his daughters his “No. 1 priority…Especially during this…critical time in my daughters’ lives.” He said he knows what it’s like to be “so busy that I was absent for a lot of years for my first daughter’s growing up…And that’s what the presidency will do.”

★ Tom Cruise apparently has plans to one-up his astonishing fighter jet scenes in in “Top Gun: Maverick”, because for his next flick he wants to go nose-up into space. He’s in the process of making a deal with Universal to shoot a movie on the International Space Station. And that, of course, that would require he and other stars to be rocketed up there. He’s actually been tossing the idea around for a few years, but it was shelved during the pandemic. Universal seems to be on board, with Chairman Donna Langley saying, “That’s the plan.” Cruise would not only be the first actor to shoot a movie in space, he could also become the first to do a space walk, because as you probably know, he famously does his own stunts.
-TMZ
★ Actor-comedian T.J. Miller says he’s not interested in returning for “Deadpool 3” because Ryan Reynolds “hates” him. Miller, who played blunt bartender ‘Weasel’ in the first 2 films, recalled a time when Reynolds allegedly requested another take to belittle Miller in front of the cast and crew. He told Adam Corolla he was taken aback when Reynolds said: “You know what’s great about you, Weasel? You’re not the star, but you do just enough exposition that it’s funny, and then we can leave and get back to the real movie.” Miller said the moment told him all he needed to know about Reynolds, and he wouldn’t work with him again, but he “sorta” wishes him well, “because he’s so good at Deadpool”.

SHOOTING THE BULL
CRAVEMAN:
Many of us blame our bad habits on our parents. But it might go back further than that. Waaay further. A group of scientists say they have found that Neanderthal DNA likely contributes to human behavioral patterns around smoking, alcohol consumption and sleeping. An international team, led by researchers from the Estonian University of Tartu, analyzed Neanderthal DNA associations, tracing a wide range of human habits and psychological patterns, and determined that Neanderthals carried multiple variants that substantially increase the smoking risk in people today. They feel that associations of Neanderthal DNA with alcohol and smoking habits might “help us to unravel the evolutionary origin of addictive and reward-seeking behavior.” They say their results require more analysis, but it’s important to note that sleep problems, and alcohol and nicotine use have all been consistently identified as common risk factors for “a range of neurological and psychiatric disorders”.
(Well, I do understand they liked to go “clubbing”!)
(My only sleep problem is my alarm clock. The others? No comment!)

NETFLIX AND CHILDREN:
It’s definitely one of the guilty pleasures of parenting; hunkering down with your kids after a long day to watch TV. But maybe, we shouldn’t feel guilty about it at all. According to a new study, watching television with your kids is actually beneficial. Researchers from the University of Portsmouth and Paris Nanterre University delved into findings from 478 studies over the last 2 years about early exposure to television. While they concluded that too much exposure to screens at an early age can be detrimental to development, they also found that some screen exposure can be beneficial, depending on the context. They say the presence of an engaged family member who talks with them about what’s on screen can enhance their understanding of the content, and help reinforce their learning during educational programs.
(Great. Now if only I could get them to watch something besides “Paw Patrol”…over and over again!)
(Awesome. Now, please tell me that those crappy snacks we always eat in front of the TV are good for them, too!)
-Romper
WORK FROM WORK:
Who knew? Over half of us actually enjoy going to work, according to a new survey. A poll of 2,000 US office workers looking into what a return to the office looks like found that 54% actually prefer heading to work, rather than working from home all or part of the time. As for what aspects of the office that people like, #1 was tech equipment (such as printers/scanners, 31%), followed by co-workers, work computers, the conversations they have at the office, and the fast internet connection. A spokesperson from Industrious, which commissioned the survey, said the results show that in spite of the fact that there have been reports that make it seem like we’d all like to be able to work from home forever, “most people don’t actually want to spend the next 10 years working from their couches at home.”
(I do. Well, except for the WORKING part…)
(Yup. You heard that right. Your co-workers like the printer more than they like YOU!)

MOVIES THAT ARE SO BAD, PEOPLE COULDN’T FINISH WATCHING THEM:
A Reddit thread asked people to reveal the horrible movie that they started watching, but just couldn’t bring themselves to finish…
✗ “My mom recorded Tyler Perry’s A Madea Family Funeral the other day because that’s just how bored she is. She doesn’t even like Madea. I sat through the first 5 minutes before I couldn’t take any more. Later, she finished it and told me ‘…yep. Madea still sucks.’”
✗ “The Mummy 3. I loved the Mummy series and Brendan Fraser is awesome but my god that was a hot pile…and the only movie I ever walked out of in a theatre.”
✗ “50 Shades of Gray. I was out as soon as she walked into Christian’s office and tripped over NOTHING. Cause, you know, she s just so quirky and clumsy.”
✗ “The Robin Hood movie from (2018). The bad guys have machine gun crossbows.”
✗ “Ghostbuster, female cast remake. I was on a plane, almost walked out.”
✗ “Marvel’s Eternals. The first marvel movie I fell asleep at.”
✗ ““The Emoji movie. It was almost a parody of every CGI kids movie.”
✗ “About 75% of the movies that I start watching on Netflix.”

DID YOU KNOW?
New research suggests many sellers on Amazon are being less than honest. A collaborative US study found that over a quarter of vacuum cleaners sold on Amazon have at some point pretended to offer a discount when the price actually increased. Many dealers were found to add a previously unadvertised “list price”, crossing out the more-expensive list price, and giving shoppers the impression that they’re getting a better deal. This practice signals to shoppers that they are taking advantage of a discount when they’re actually paying 23% more, on average. Study authors saw sellers of digital cameras, blenders, drones, and books employing the same misleading strategy.
