Here’s More Bull Roar!

BS SHOW BIZ BUZZ:
★ Will Smith wants to use technology to make a movie with the late Marlon Brando. Word is that Smith was very impressed with the digital likeness created of his 23-year-old self for his new movie “Gemini Man”, and he hopes the avatar can be used again on other projects, with his ”dream” being a collaboration with the late “Godfather” star, who died in 2004 at age 80. Smith told Britain’s “OK!” magazine: ”As the technology gets better and better, can a young Will Smith make a movie with a young Marlon Brando? That’s what I’m thinking.”

★ Bryan Cranston is hailing Robert Forster as a ”lovely man and a consummate actor” following his death. Cranston, who stars alongside Forster in “El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie”, wrote on Twitter: ”I’m saddened today by the news that Robert Forster has passed away. A lovely man and a consummate actor. I met him on the movie “Alligator” 40 years ago, and then again on BB (“Breaking Bad”). I never forgot how kind and generous he was to a young kid just starting out in Hollywood. RIP Bob.” 78-year old Robert Fowler, who also starred in “Jackie Brown”, died of cancer on Friday.

★ Ryan Murphy’s five-year-old son Ford has beaten cancer. Last year, the “American Horror Story” creator revealed Ford had been diagnosed with neuroblastoma as a toddler. Following Ford’s diagnosis, Ryan Murphy and his family donated $10 million to the UCLA Jonson Comprehensive Cancer Center, which helped create a wing that specializes in helping children access the best treatment.

★ “Pose” star Billy Porter will be playing the Fairy Godmother in Sony Pictures’ live-action reimagining of “Cinderella”. Camila Cabello will play the title role, and Idina Menzel is in talks to play the evil stepmother. Porter’s credits include FX’s “Pose” (for which he won an Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series Primetime Emmy), and most recently, Taylor Swift’s music video for her song ‘You Need to Calm Down’.
-TheWrap
★ Paul Rudd says he feared he’d be axed from “Friends” after an awkward run-in with co-star Jennifer Aniston. Rudd says that when he was on-set for his very first episode, Aniston was using a Segway because she had broken her toe. After Matt LeBlanc asked to try it out, and immediately got a handle on how to use it, Rudd says “I then asked to try it too. I spun round and rolled it right over Jennifer’s foot!” It appears there are no hard feelings between the pair, as Jennifer went on to play Paul’s wife in the 2012 movie “Wanderlust”.

BS MUSIC NOTES:
• Justin Bieber – posted a photo of a gluten-free beer on his Instagram Story over the weekend, with the words: “Worst news ever. I’m officially allergic to gluten. No more Coronas unless they make gluten free beer like this! Sad day.”
• Taylor Swift — attended Madonna’s concert in Brooklyn on Saturday night, and later gave the Madame X Tour big props on Instagram. Alongside what appears to be a backstage photo with friends, Swift wrote: “Thank you @Madonna for an outstanding show. Shout out to the phenomenal dancers, singers, musicians, set designers, crew, wardrobe, glam, and M who gave it everything.”
• Elton John – In his new memoir “Me”, he remembers Michael Jackson as a “disturbing person” plagued with mental illness during the final years of his life. John writes that he met Jackson when he was a teen. But it wasn’t until his later years that John questioned “what prescription drugs he was being pumped full of.” Quote: “He was genuinely mentally ill, a disturbing person to be around.”
• Van Halen — Eddie Van Halen has reportedly been flying to Germany for 5 years for radiation treatment for throat cancer. The good news is that for the most part, it has worked to keep the disease in check. In 2000, he was diagnosed with tongue cancer and shortly afterward, doctors removed around 1/3 of his tongue.
• The Black Crowes – A reunion appears to be on the horizon. Former manager Pete Angelus said that he is “aware of the deal” that Chris and Rich Robinson “made with Live Nation for a 2020 tour.” The group has been inactive since 2013.
• Rolling Stones — Ronnie Wood says he can’t believe he’s ”still here today” after battling drug addiction. His new documentary “Somebody Up There Likes Me” details the depths of his addiction, which at one point shows him freebasing cocaine. In the film, he says that “it was controlling me…It took me about three years to get off it.”  The movie premiered on Sat. at the London Film Fest.
• (***CAUTION: Album title***) Green Day — Billie Joe Armstrong he was “pulling his…hair out” while making the band’s new album, “Father of All Motherf***ers”, out in Feb. He toyed around with various sounds inspired by the 60s British mod period, but it was a lot of trial and error because he wanted to see if he “could put [it] through the Green Day filter.”
• Neil Young — has released a trailer for his upcoming movie “Mountaintop”, which documents the making of his first new album with Crazy Horse in seven years, “Colorado”. The film will hit theaters for one night on Oct. 22, just before the album’s release on Oct. 25.
• Trace Adkins — is a married man. According to a post on his Instagram account, he tied the knot on Saturday in New Orleans. The new Mrs. is Victoria Pratt, an actress that Adkins has been dating for several years. This is Adkins’ fourth marriage.
• Lady Antebellum – Charles Kelly says it was Sheryl Crow who inspired the group’s decision to get involved in music education. He says it was “really cool” to hear “how passionate she is about it. One of the things we want to get more involved with is getting younger kids interested in actually playing instruments again,” as opposed to creating music with computers.

THIS WEEK’S VIDEO RELEASES: (Streaming and/or DVD)

(Sheri Moon Zombie, Bill Moseley)

MOBILE MOBILE:
Sure, it’s exciting when you finally take the plunge and get a new cell phone. But then you have to transfer all your data from your old one, and that’s a task that not only takes time, it is often a job better left to an expert. Cell service provider Rogers Wireless in Toronto is offering a new delivery and set-up service that offers to…well, do exactly that. They say a techie will meet you at a place and time of your choosing, and will make sure all your apps and files are transferred to the new phone, and that everything’s running smoothly by the end of the maximum two-hour appointment. There is no extra charge for the ‘Pro-on-the-Go’ service, which is provided by a third party known as “Enjoy”. The service is already offered in the U.S. and the U.K., and Rogers plans to expand the program to other major Canadian cities in the coming months.
(So if you see a lot of people at Starbucks who seem really engrossed in their phones…wait, never mind. EVERYONE at Starbucks is really engrossed in their phones!)
(I’d do this just to avoid the lineup at the Apple Store!)
(Can you imagine some of the things these guys have seen?)

NO DUMPING:
It sounds strange, but in Springfield, Missouri, they are decorating the dog poo. As part of a campaign to encourage dog owners to clean up after their pets, officials are planting small flags in piles of abandoned dog poo in the downtown area. The flags contain messages such as “Is this your turd? ’Cus that’s absurd” and “This is a nudge to pick up the fudge”. The city’s Environmental Services department says that the flags are made of bamboo and recycled paper. The campaign began last week.
(If I worked for the city, I think I’d rather clean it up than have to go around sticking flags in it!)
(“Honey? Why has the dog got a flag sticking out of his nose?”)
(***Ask listeners to come up with their own (air-able) poo messages!***)

Raking your leaves destroys ecosystems. Fallen leaves create a natural layer that butterflies, moths, salamanders, chipmunks, box turtles, toads, shrews, worms and other species rely on for food and shelter.
