BS SHOW BIZ BUZZ:
Since splitting up with “Gossip Girl” actress Blake Lively, 36-year-old actor Leonardo DiCaprio is reportedly dating 2 Australian models, 21-year-old Alyce Crawford and 20-year-old Kendal Schuler (now that’s just hoggish!) . . . This week actress Milla Jovovich & her director-husband Paul WS Anderson begin shooting “Resident Evil: Retribution” (aka “Resident Evil 5”) in Toronto, the next movie in what they jokingly call ‘the family business’ (aka: ‘gravy train’) . . . 34-year-old “The X Factor” host Steve Jones tells “Glamour” magazine he intends to ‘make the most’ of being a single guy in Hollywood and although he doesn’t want women to come on to him just because he’s famous, it won’t bother him if they do (his reported conquests already include Halle Berry, Hayden Panettiere, Pamela Anderson, and Paris Hilton) . . . Former “Cheers” co-stars Kirstie Alley and Rhea Perlman are reuniting for a new TV comedy pilot called “The Manzanis”, about an Italian-American family living in a quiet New Jersey neighborhood (‘Italian-American family’ and ‘quiet’ – isn’t that an oxymoron?) . . . And fresh off the underwhelming Michael Jackson tribute in Cardiff, Wales (“Michael Forever – The Tribute Concert”), his family has announced it’s staging a benefit concert in Tokyo, Japan to help children affected by this year’s earthquake (so far the line-up consists of – The Jacksons).

• “Good Morning America” (ABC) – Lauren Alaina, the most recent “American Idol” runner-up, performs the new single “Georgia Peaches” from her debut album, “Wildflower”, released today.

BS MUSIC NOTES:
• Adele – She tells Britain’s “The Sun” she ‘got screwed into giving up smoking’, as the reason she recently suffered laryngitis was from talking too much not cigarettes. Quote: “If I wasn’t a singer I still would be smoking 25 a day.” (Uh … you’re still talking too much, girl!)
• Beyoncé – She’s facing fresh allegations she plagiarized a Belgian choreographer’s dance moves in her new music video “Countdown”. Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker isn’t threatening a lawsuit (yet), but she says what’s rude about it is they didn’t even bother hiding it.
• The B-52’s – Today they release their first live album, “With The Wild Crowd! – Live In Athens, Georgia”, recorded in the group’s hometown on February 14, 2011, the 34th anniversary of their first-ever performance. A DVD/Blu-ray of the concert is coming in 2012.
• Britney Spears – Her “B In The Mix: The Remixes Vol 2” album is out today, featuring new versions of 10 of her tracks picked from the “Femme Fatale” album as well as previous work.
• Joe Jonas – Today his new solo album, “Fastlife”, is released. He’s set to open for Britney Spears on the European leg of her “Femme Fatale” tour, which starts Sunday.
• Martina McBride – Today (October 11th) country music’s most-played female on radio for the past 11 years releases her 11th album, “Eleven”. She wrote 6 of the album’s 11 tracks. To promote the release (as well as breast cancer awareness) she’s taking a 4-day train ride across America beginning October 27th, performing intimate concerts for fans along the way.
• ZZ Top – A new album salute to the classic rockers entitled “ZZ Top: A Tribute From Friends” is out today. It includes covers by Grace Potter & The Nocturnals, Daughtry, Jamey Johnson, Nickelback, and Wyclef Jean.

• “Horrible Bosses” ( R-Rated Comedy ): Jason Bateman, Charlie Day, and Jason Sudeikis star as 3 friends who make a pact to rid the world of their respective bosses, played by Colin Farrell, Kevin Spacey, and Jennifer Aniston (as a scheming, foul-mouthed dentist).
• “Judy Moody & The Not Bummer Summer” ( PG Comedy ): A 3rd-grader (Jordana Beatty) creates a series of dares in order to have the most thrilling Summer of her life. Her way-cool aunt (Heather Graham) and little brother (Parris Mosteller) join in the adventures.
• “Taylor Swift: Journey to Fearless” ( NR Music Documentary ) – A 2-hour DVD featuring behind-the-scenes footage of the singer-songwriter’s preparations for her first headlining tour. Swift provides the narrative, home movies, and personal photos. Features 13 performances.
• “Zookeeper” ( PG Family Comedy ): Kevin James stars as a kindly zookeeper whose animals decide to break their code of silence in order to help him win over the woman of his dreams (Rosario Dawson). The trick is getting him to stay at the zoo instead of looking for a ‘better job’.
• Also released today: “Aqua Unit Patrol Squad 1” (Animation); “Bones: The Complete 6th Season” (TV); “Doctor Who: The David Tennant Years” (Brit TV); “Elmo’s Shape Adventures” (Family); “Great Italian Directors Collection” (Compilation); and “Workaholics: Season 1” (TV).

ZOMBIE TEETH ARE IN:
Can’t get a girlfriend or a find a spouse? Maybe you’re too perfect! That’s the logic behind the strange new Japanese fad of getting yourself some crooked teeth. Tokyo dental salon Plaisir says its ‘Tsuke-yaeba’ – or ‘Stick-on Crooked Teeth’ – will impart that desirable imperfect look to men and women alike, making them more attractive. The theory behind this slightly odd approach is that classic beauty tends to scare away timid suitors, whereas a more down-home look is easily approachable. If this makes sense to you, be prepared to fork out upwards of $390 and undergo a procedure that involves applying the plastic gnashers with glue. (Who woulda thought bad teeth would become sexy? When the New South China Mall opened in Dongguan, China in 2005, it was touted as another wonder of the world and dubbed the ‘World’s Largest Mall’. Today, it has an occupancy rate of only 2% as just 47 of its 2,350 retail spaces are filled, the most successful being McDonald’s and KFC restaurants near the mall’s front entrance. Fast-food wrappers and empty paper cups litter ghostly hallways in other parts of the complex. The elevators and lights are switched off, and voices echo off atrium ceilings 4-stories-high. This week is “Pet Peeve Week”, a good time to vent some of yours and let listeners air out theirs. Here are a few to get you going …
• Customers who aren’t ready to pay in a grocery line. They wait for their $100-order to be rung in and THEN start hunting through their wallet or purse for money. These are the same people who’ll then spend 5 minutes searching for the exact change to pay with.
• People who pronounce km ‘ki-LOM-eter’. By that logic kg should be ‘ki-LOG-ram’ and cm would be ‘cen-TIM-eter’.
• People who add an erroneous apostrophe when writing about a decade, ie: the 1990’s. An apostrophe is used only when something is abbreviated (not the case) or to show possession. So you can say “1990’s #1 hit was …” (showing it belongs to that year) but when you’re talking about the entire decade it’s the 1990s … no freakin’ apostrophe!
• Retail sales staff/restaurant servers who always enthusiastically say ‘Perfect!’ after you make your selection. It’s not perfect at all … just one choice among many. If anything, it’s simply average; sometimes it turns out to be downright lousy.
