★ Liam Payne’s Argentina hotel room has been raided by cops, who are on the hunt for “new intel” about the staffers working on the day of the One Direction singer’s death. Officials were searching for documents within the Casa Sur’s registration books as part of the raid, in addition to information stored in its computers, according to Us Weekly. In addition, the 4-star Buenos Aires hotel “must provide” more security camera footage from the lobby and courtyard on Oct. 16 — the day Payne plunged to his death, according to the report. The raid came a day after the singer’s father, Geoff Payne, said he was cooperating with officials investigating his son’s death.

★ Liam Neeson‘s run as an action movie star may come to an end next year. The Oscar nominee is teasing his retirement from the genre that reignited his acting career in 2008, with “Taken”. And now, even into his 70s, Neeson continues to perform his own fight scenes with some help from longtime stunt collaborator Mark Vanselow. But it can’t go on forever. He said to People: “I’m 72 — it has to stop at some stage…I don’t want Mark to be fighting my fight scenes for me.” While Neeson has not yet set a specific date for his last action movie role, he did say that it will likely be in 2025, “Maybe the end of next year.”

★ It looks like Disney has found its ‘Prince Charming’. The Wrap reports that Chris Hemsworth is in talks for the new live-action film from “Wonka” and “Paddington” filmmaker Paul King. The movie, about the prince from “Cinderella” who goes on a quest to find her after she leaves a single glass slipper behind, is based on a script that King co-wrote. Hemsworth is a big part of the larger Disney family, having played ‘Thor’ in many MCU movies. No official comment from Disney yet.

★ A 2-part documentary series about “The Jerry Springer Show” is coming to Netflix. Debuting on Jan. 7, “Jerry Springer: Fights, Camera, Action” will explore how the long-running tabloid talk show became one of the most outrageous TV hits of the 1990s. The official description says the “jaw-dropping” doc will feature “first-hand testimony and revelations from show insiders,” as well as interviews with producers and former guests, to raise “renewed questions about who was responsible” for the destruction the show caused, “and how far things should go in the name of entertainment.”

★ Tom Cruise’s ‘mystery movie’ for Warner Bros is reportedly due to enter production in the UK soon, with principle photography beginning as soon as next month. Variety reports that the untitled movie, starring Cruise, is being directed by Mexican filmmaker Alejandro González Iñárritu. While the plot is currently unknown, Warner Bros. previously revealed Cruise would be leading a star-studded cast, which includes “Anatomy of a Fall” actress Sandra Hüller, “Breaking Bad” star Jesse Plemons, Emmy Award-winner John Goodman and “Your Honor” actor Michael Stuhlbarg. Cruise is currently filming the 8th “Mission: Impossible” movie, and is also working on the sequel to “Top Gun: Maverick”.

• Fleetwood Mac — Nov. 19, the book “Songbird: An Intimate Biography of Christine McVie” will be published. • Luke Bryan – is selling underwear. I WON’T DRINK TO THIS:
While there are many so-called hangover cures out there (my personal fave is brunch – without my mother-in-law!), according to new research, it seems that exercise might be the key to avoiding those horrible mornings. The study, published in the journal Addictive Behaviours, involved 1,700 undergrad students who experienced at least one hangover per month. Results showed a correlation between regular exercise and reduced hangover severity. The researchers say they believe that physical activity may help alleviate hangover symptoms in the following ways…
• Modulating pain response
• Leading to better quality sleep
• Improving metabolism, and
• Reducing inflammation
(Physical activity helps with hangovers? No WONDER I never figured this out on my own!)

NEWS OF THE WEIRD (Germany Edition):
➢ A new fire station in Germany, that was destroyed in a fire which caused about US$26 million in damage and destroyed equipment, did not have a fire alarm. Fire broke out early one morning last week at the Stadtallendorf fire station in Hesse and destroyed, among other things, the equipment hall and about a dozen emergency vehicles. Local officials told media that no fire alarm system was installed in the building because experts considered it unnecessary. No one was hurt. (…which is why it’s OK to laugh at these meatheads!)
➢ In a hilarious traffic violation that was seemingly custom-made to go viral, a driver in Germany was caught speeding — while wearing a ‘Cookie Monster’ costume. This character was clocked at 91kph in an 80 zone, and the traffic camera snapped the unforgettable moment at 9:08pm. Police say the masked “suspect” faces a 40 euro fine if caught. Online, commenters couldn’t help but laugh at the Muppet-inspired mishap, with one writing: “Did they use the Count to determine the speed?” (Is there also a fine for “driving while googly-eyed”?) Our favorite time to spend money while browsing social media is precisely 2:36pm on a Saturday. A survey of 2,000 U.S. adults who shop on social media, found that’s the time you’re most likely to pull the trigger on that thing you saw on a social platform. The poll determined that while Saturday is the top shopping day, with 42% of us busting out the online payment process, Friday is a close second (41%). Gen X was found to be more likely than any other generation to shop the “Sunday Scaries” away (24%), while Gen Z shops their way through the Monday blues (17%). (My wife was part of this survey.
