Sunday, reality TV star Khloe Kardashian (“Kourtney & Khloe Take Miami”) weds her LA Lakers basketball player boyfriend Lamar Odom – a month after their first date – at the Bel-Air CA mansion of family friend & music mogul Irving Azoff (you can bet someone’s taping this for some crap reality show or another) . . . Sunday-through-Wednesday ‘bloodless’ bullfights are being staged in Las Vegas at the South Point Hotel & Casino, which involves matadors attaching Velcro-coated sticks to a patch of material on the bull’s back to simulate stabbing without actually harming the beast (even so, PETA is protesting) . . . Britain’s “The X Factor” may be coming to FOX-TV as its creator, Simon Cowell, is in talks to launch an American version at the same time as locking in as an “American Idol” judge for 2 more years, through 2011-12 (it’s estimated the total take for Simon could top $100 million-per-season) . . . VH1 has revealed Britney Spears’ elephantine ex-, Kevin Federline, is one of 8 ‘celebrities’ on the now-taping 7th season of “Celebrity Fit Club”, in which the stocky stars attempt to starve it off (you don’t suppose he packed all that recent flubber on just to get the gig?) . . . And hot on the heels of actress-turned-author Mackenzie Phillips (“High on Arrival”) dropping the bomb on “Oprah” about being the victim of incest via her late “Mamas & Papas” pop John Phillips comes the news that a new album of previously unreleased tracks is coming out in 2010, featuring the two of them recorded together 20 years ago (is this more icky or tacky?).

• Aerosmith – Joe Perry is denying rumors that the band is about to split up, promising the “Boston Herald” that a new album ‘will happen’.
• Creed – Tonight their “Full Circle” reunion tour concert in Houston TX streams live online in HD at Rockpit.com. Through a partnership with the USO, it will be available to US troops in Afghanistan, Iraq and elsewhere. The event is set to break the record for ‘Most Cameras Used in a Live Concert Recording’ … 227!
• Katy Perry – She says her next album will feature ‘music people can hold hands and roller-skate to’.
• KISS – Tonight they kick off the “KISS Alive 35” North American tour in Detroit MI, which will hit more than 40 other cities before concluding in December.
• Michael Jackson – A new song entitled “This Is It”, featuring backup vocals by his brothers, will be released as a single October 12th. It will also be featured on an upcoming 2-disc album of music (October 27th) ‘inspired’ by the “This Is It” movie (October 28th). Are they milking this or what?
• Miley Cyrus – This week she took over newly-opened LA restaurant Katsuya so she could  celebrate her sold-out concert at Staples Center by throwing a private party for 100 friends.
• Pearl Jam – They’re on course to have their first #1 album in 13 years as “Backspacer” is projected to sell circa 200,000 copies over it’s first week.
• Red Hot Chili Peppers – They’ve been nominated for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in their first year of eligibility. We’ll find out in January if they are a finalist.
• Spice Girls – It’s been confirmed they are ‘looking at the possibility’ of reuniting for a one-off show at the 2010 soccer “World Cup” in South Africa. No! Please no!

Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich has installed an ‘Anti-Paparazzi Shield’ on his new boat, ‘Eclipse’, the world’s largest and most expensive private yacht at 557 ft (170 m). The hi-tech system uses infrared lasers to detect the electronic light sensors in any nearby cameras. When one is detected, the system fires a focused beam of light at it, disrupting its ability to record a digital image.
