Deja Moo!

BS SHOW BIZ BUZZ:
Sometime reality TV star Spencer Pratt has expressed regrets over his ‘infantile’ behavior on his twitter account saying: “I need to apologize to Heidi (Montag) and my 11.5 fans. I’m an epic douche – and you deserve better” (hear hear!) . . . 44-year-old actress Halle Berry has apparently found love again, spotted canoodling with Olivier Martinez in Paris, co-star of her new film “Dark Tide” (and Brit singer Kyle Minogue’s discard) . . . When “Jersey Shore’s” Snooki pled guilty to disturbing the peace and ‘being annoying’ this week, the judge called her the 3 most insulting words in English – ‘Lindsay Lohan wannabe’ . . . Although 24-year-old Lauren Conrad left MTV’s “The Hills” back in 2009 and has since become a best-selling author, it seems she isn’t done with TV, a new report suggesting she’s getting her own reality show – and that networks are ‘fighting over it’ (so many channels, so much time to fill) . . . And if that’s not bad enough, Charlie Sheen’s estranged wife Brooke Mueller has reportedly been roped in to star in a lifestyle-themed reality TV show with famous person Paris Hilton (what will they call it – “Snort!”?) . . . Willow Smith, 9-year-old daughter of Will Smith, has recorded a new tune called “I Whip My Hair”, which has been ‘leaked’ online (because no one would ever pay for it) . . . 35-year-old actress Angelina Jolie tells CNN she doesn’t have many friends, in fact Brad Pitt is the only person she really talks to (aw, the poor girl!) . . . And 80-year-old actor/director Clint Eastwood has revealed that he was offered the chance to play ‘James Bond’ in 1969 and the role of ‘Superman’ in 1978, both of which he turned down (“Do you feel lucky, Moneypenny?”).

TODAY’S MOVIE OPENINGS:

• “I’m Still Here” ( Limited Release Music Documentary ) – Actor-turned-director Casey Affleck documents Joaquin Phoenix’s transition from acclaimed actor to aspiring rapper, which for some reason includes growing a scraggly beard and always wearing sunglasses. STING TIME:
As Summer is winding down, this is the most likely time of year to be stung by wasps and similar predatory insects, entomologists say. There are now more adult wasps than at any time of the year, and they are all competing for sustenance, making them more likely to prowl garbage bins, picnic tables, or anywhere people leave food. This is also the time of year that bees and their like are scavenging for food stocks to keep their queens alive for the coming year. (Good luck eating out on the patio tonight!)
– “Boston Globe”

PICKING A ‘DATE’ MOVIE:

More people get frisky after watching a ‘chick flick’ than a macho ‘action movie’. In a recent study, more than half of test couples became passionate after watching a romantic comedy, while just 22% were up for it after watching a thriller. Not only did the chick flick result in a higher degree of sexual activity, but 54% of the couples reported they felt ‘closer’ afterward. Just 9% felt more intimate after an action film. (What’s the best date movie so far this year?)

NO ONE LIKES A SMART-ASS:

An experiment has found that a class of schoolchildren learns twice as quickly when the most confident ones are not allowed to raise their hands after the teacher asks a question. Instead, all the children in the class were encouraged write the answer to the teacher’s question on a small white board and hold it up simultaneously or stick their thumbs up or down at the same time to answer a yes-or-no question. While the experiment seemed to improve learning, it wasn’t popular: The kids used to keeping quiet were rattled at having to do something; and the ones used to showing off were ticked off. (To make everyone happy, have them tweet an answer.)
– “Times of London”

BS AMAZING FACT:

Dr Thomas Harvey removed Albert Einstein’s brain during his autopsy. For 30 years afterward, Harvey kept it in 2 mason jars in his Wichita, Kansas home. (“Grandpa, this pickled cabbage you made tastes awful!”)
